BLOOD OF JESUS

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son
cleanseth us from all sin.

Blood can be defined in so many ways from the dictionary. It is a vital liquid flowing in the bodies of many types of animals that usually conveys nutrients and oxygen. In vertebrates, it is coloured red by hemoglobin. It can also be defined as a family relationship due to birth such as that between siblings; contrasted with relationships due to marriage or adoption. For the purpose of our text above, we will use the second definition of blood. Blood as you and I know stains any material that comes in contact with. The moment for example it comes in contact with a white clothes/materials, it makes the white material an impure material. No sensible person will open his/her eyes to pour blood on his/her clothes.
The blood of Jesus as you and I know when it comes in contact with a clothes/material makes it pure. When it comes upon an individual becomes pure, hence, the individual is adopted into the family of God. The individual becomes a member of God’s big and happy family.
There are certain things that are unique to only the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord. First of all, the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sins. Whenever a sinner comes in contact with the blood of Jesus Christ, He/she is washed clean from head to toe. No more traces of sin will be found in the life of the fellow. In this case God will forgive and forget all the bad pasts of the individual and a new life will start from the beginning unlike a man that will only forgive and not forget. This is why the Bible says in 2Cor 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
A good example was Saul of Tarsus who was a chronic sinner until a drop of the blood of Jesus Christ fell on him and he became a different person entirely (Acts 9:3-20). All his past life was gone. If you follow his life very well, there were no traces that he ever swimmed in sin before. This is exactly what the blood of Jesus Christ does to everyone that it touches/comes upon. He became so powerful that his handkerchief began to heal the sick.
Secondly, the blood of Jesus Christ makes a sinner to be an overcomer. This is what you find in Rev. 12:11 which says

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Every sinner is a looser, therefore cannot have access to God’s unlimited strength for conquest but the moment the blood comes upon the individual, automatically he will have access to this unlimited strength/power of God. This was experienced by Elijah in 1Kings 18:46.
Thirdly, it is the blood of Jesus Christ that gives us access to the Gods unlimited blessings. In the book of Isa 1:18-19 the Bible says

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

The fourth benefit of the blood of Jesus is that it gives us the privilege of walking in the light. Anyone walking in the light does not miss his way in the journey of life. Infact whenever anyone is walking in the light, even those that are walking in the dark makes use of the persons light to see road to their destination Matt 5:14-16 which says
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

You can only enjoy the benefits of the blood when you ask Him to come into your life by praying the prayer below. It is not about going to church or occupying positions in the church. It is about having a relationship with His son Jesus Christ.
‘’Lord Jesus, I come to you as a sinner, I acknowledge that you died for me on the cross, Please forgive me all my sins and wash them away with your precious blood, Cleanse my name from the book of death and write it in the book of life.
Please give me the grace not to return back to them again, In Jesus name I have prayed’’ AMEN.

WHAT A GREAT GOD
Matthew 15:21-28
Memory Verse: But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing,
that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a
thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8

The first time I read 1Cor 15:9-10 after I became born again, I felt Paul was talking about me because I could recall what I used to be before the Lord Saved me. I believe some of you must have felt like that too. Our God can do in a day what a man cannot do in a thousand years.

‘’ But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8’’

Our God is indeed very great, when He stops to simply say ‘’Thank you’’, you will be left in amazement as was experienced by Peter in Luke 5:1-7. Matt 15:21-28 reveals that a crumb from His table is enough to liberate the captives. A little crumb is enough to solve your problems. Many years ago, when I was quite young, we had some drug sellers who came to our village telling us that a particular capsule could cure 200 diseases. We patronized them even when we knew they were deceiving us. But God is so great that according to Joshua 6:20, just a shout of His praise can level every obstacle on the way to your breakthrough.
Many years ago, a woman who was vomiting was brought to us. The doctors had examined her but found nothing wrong with her. They prescribed certain drugs for her to no avail. We said to her, ‘’Praise the Lord’’ and she responded with a powerful ‘’Halleluyah’’. As she responded, she vomited a worm. Let somebody shout halleluyah! Our God is so great that after being praised for a few minutes, He could cause all the enemies to destroy themselves (2Chro 20:20-25). As you praise God from today, He will cause your enemies to fight against themselves and destroy one another in Jesus name. Stop doing things according to your calculations. Trust the Lord and obey Him in faith and you will soon testify of His goodness. Any battle you cannot handle, turn it over to Him. Take time to praise and worship Him, release your faith and He will move in that situation

No matter how fast you run after your shadow, you can never meet it. This is because the more you run after it, the more it runs away from. When you run away from your shadow, it runs after you as well. That is exactly how the blessings of life runs after those that run after God but runs away from those that runaway from God. If you wan't blessings to run after you, then run after God. This is because the angel in charge of God's blessing wan'ts to please God to the utmost. Psalm 119:89-91

CONCLUSION: Jesus gave up His comfort so that you and I can have access to God. What have you been able to give Him in return?

No father in this world will allow his child to go through the pains and struggles he went through to succeed in life that is why he even prepares for an unborn child. if an earthly father can do this, how much more our heavenly father. This tells us that it is because we have not actually understood the fatherly role of God almighty in our lives that is why we don't enjoy this fatherly role. Please start seeing God as your father so that you can enjoy this fatherly role. God bless you

The reason why you can not fail in life is because God's blood runs through your vein just as a father's blood runs through the vein of his child. Those born with silver spoon are rich not by their effort but that of their parents. Keep telling your self that you can not fail at all even if every other persons fail because you are born with a golden spoon by virtue of Christ's love ....Romans 8:37-39

COURSE DURATION
The Programme is for a period of one year (one academic session).

APPLICATION
Online application will commence from Monday, June 22,2015; while the closing date for application is 12 midnight on Friday,
September 4, 2015.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application is online, Logon to www.uniport.edu.ng and follow the instructions; a fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00),
excluding Bank charges is required. Payment can be made at designated Banks nationwide. The names on candidates’ O’Level
Certificates must be the same as what is filled online. Any false information given automatically disqualifies the applicant.

SCREENING EXERCISE
The Screening Test will be Computer-Based and shall be conducted on Thursday, September 10, 2015.
Venue: ICTC, University Park (Abuja Campus), University of Port Harcourt.

Candidates are required to come with the following and be at the Venue by 7.00am
