WHY WE COME TO CHURCH (Gen 3:8-10, Heb 12:22-24)

Church is God's Institution and Will. Doing the will of God brings us endless blessings and favour. There are five reasons for which we physically come to Church:

1. To present ourselves, our household and all our causes and affairs before God in an orderly and measurable routine (Job 2:1, Rev 11:1).

2. To gather together as one people called out from the world to meet with God who is always in Church to fellowship with His people (Ps 50:5, Matt 18:20).

3. To be taught by the Pastor whom God has taught (Deut 5:31, Acts 20:18).

4. To allow God to make us hear His Word so that we understand how we must fear Him all the days of our lives (Deut 4:10, Heb 10:25).

5. To learn what to teach our children and grandchildren about God (Pro 22:6, Eph 6:4).

Find these reasons propelling and motivating when next you think of staying at home or traveling on Church meeting days. Note that since Satan has been driven out of the Church (Rev 12:7-12), he might angrily attack you when you are outside the Church in a time when God and all His people are in the Church (Rev 12:13).
