PENTECOST - THE POWER FOR BREAKING BARRIERS
Rev. Amb. Adebowale Adefunsi PhD, Ikwerre District Superintendent AGN Ministering at Assemblies of God Kings' Cathedral Mile 1.
Pentecost is not an event to be celebrated; it is a power to be experienced.
Before Pentecost, the disciples had knowledge, proximity, and promises, but they lacked power.
After Pentecost, the same men confronted hostile systems, territorial spirits, cultural resistance, and institutional opposition with boldness and supernatural authority.
Jesus did not say, "You shall receive wisdom" or "You shall receive strategy" though those are important. He said: "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you..." (Acts 1:8)
Barriers persist where power is absent, but when power is released, resistance becomes irrelevant.
Today all over the world, is Pentecost Sunday. It is a time to be filled with the Holy Ghost. It is a time to be rekindled, it is a time to activate the Power of God in you with the evidence of Speaking in tongues.
Pentecost was Heaven's declaration that ordinary people, touched by an extraordinary God, carry an unstoppable, unquenchable, and undeniable power that makes every mountain moveable and every impossibility negotiable!.
You were not filled with the Holy Spirit to live a small, timid, barrier-ridden life.
If you have not been filled with the Holy Spirit, today, you will be filled....
