WHEN THE CHURCH BECOMES A BUSINESS

1) Pastors function like CEOs
2) Members are turned into customers
3) Other churches are seen as competitions
4) Evangelism is reduced to marketing
5) Church planting looks more like franchising
6) Numbers are primary measure of success
7) Prayer and Word study are replaced by formulas
8) Revival is reduced to a few days fund-raising program
9) Preaching sounds more like motivational speech.
All the people do is shout "I receive, Amen,"
throughout the concert. I mean the "service".
10) Praise and Worship is turned into a performance. The best actors are made the worship and praise leaders.
11) The Spirit of God is reduced to "emotionalism".
No real power of God other than hypnosis and sensationalism.
12) The saints are entertained instead of equipped
13) Disciples of Christ have become papa's sons, daughters and fans.
14) The Church, a living Body has now become a lifeless body
15) A leader's empire is built instead of the
Kingdom of God advanced
16) The pastor becomes the super man and Jesus
Christ reduced to just another religious figure.

Does any one of these sound familiar in this
generation? Beloved we need to cry for revival and restoration of God's glory.

All I have highlighted above is exactly what made Jesus himself to ask: "When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith in the Earth?" (Luke 18.8)
AMEN!!!

7 EVIL WINDS IN MINISTRY ONLY A GENUINELY CALLED MAN WILL SURVIVE:

The FOUNDATION of God standeth sure, having this SEAL not ZEAL.
2 Timothy 2 :19.

There is the SEAL of APOSTLESHIP and not the ZEAL of APOSTLESHIP.
1 Corinthians 9:2.

There is a difference between the WENT and the SENT. Luke 10:1.

The WENT are on a MISSION with a ZEAL. The SENT are on a MISSION with a SEAL.

There is also ZEAL without KNOWLEDGE. Romans 10:2.
You can be zealous and serious with MINISTRY MATTERS, but never you allow it TRANSLATE to a CALL to Start a church.

A ZEAL gets you going, only a SEAL keeps you going.

A ZEAL is your love for God, but a seal is God's MARK upon your life. Ephesians 1:13.

Behind Every ZEAL is a Human Spirit, but behind every SEAL is the Holy Spirit.

A Disciple in the WILL of God is better than an Apostle outside God’s WILL.

WHEN YOU DONT HAVE THIS SEAL. YOU MAY NOT SURVIVE THESE EVIL WINDS THAT MUST BLOW AGAINST A FOUNDER.

1. THE WIND OF WRONG DOCTRINES. Most Pastors will start teaching a different gospel so as to sound different from their Father, in the process they go into heresy.

2. THE WIND OF A PROBLEMATIC MARRIAGE. Most Pastors divorce immediately they became General Overseers. If your wife is not troubling Your life, you owe God daily Thanksgiving. Some Pastors are not that fortunate.

3. THE WIND OF A LIFE OF MISTAKES. You are no longer under the grace that covers your errors. The mistake you may survive as a branch Pastor can destroy you as a founder. Please if you have not obtained Mercy never step into Ministry. There is what is known as the covenant of Mercy.

4. THE WIND OF WRONG DECISION MAKING. You are not answerable to any man, so If you are not careful you will make regrettable decisions. Always have a father, that can correct you, counsel you periodically. Someone must be in your life, you are afraid of disappointing.

5. THE WIND OF HATRED AND EVIL ACCUSATION. one out of every three persons that leave the church will tell a lie against you and the church. No church can get to her next level until you survive what I call ASSOCIATION OF FORMER MEMBERS. They are a group of People who left you and wish you evil. And they will do everything to make it happen. They are very deadly. If they are jobless, Your matter becomes their only job. Some people pay them to fight you. Your only error is that they left you.

6. THE WIND OF EVIL OCCURRENCE AND HAPPENINGS. when this begins to happen, you may not survive it unless there is constant prayers going on, on your behalf. No pastor is bigger than the Prayers of his congregation. Apostle Paul said brethren pray for us.

7. THE WIND OF DISLOYALTY, REBELLION AND BETRAYAL. Mention one church in Nigeria that has not suffered disloyalty; it is the Pathway of every Ministry that is of God. It becomes an evil wind when even your own blood relations start leaving you. Every Founder must have the grace to survive alone from time to time. There are things no one should do for you if you want to last in this assignment.

7 HARD REALITIES OF BEING A CHURCH FOUNDER MOST FOUNDERS WILL NOT TELL YOU.

Hebrews 5:4.
According to the above scriptures, no one can call himself into ministry. There is honour awaiting anyone that is called of God.
But beyond the honour, is a price only few can afford.
Sometimes, we see the Honour but we forget the Horrors.
We see the glory but forget there is a story.
Before you jump into the Calling as a result of the Honour you see on Men of God, never forget these 7 hard realities no one will tell you about.

1. Your being a Founder means you will always be at the battle field all the days of your life.

There will be no time to stay away from the battle field. Any branch Pastor can live anyhow but not as a Founder. You are the Commander General of Warfare.

2. Your being a Founder will take away everything you have saved or achieved for the ministry to be established.

99 percent of Founders started from the scratch. I see some Pastors having two cars and they are believing God for money to pay for a hall to start ministry. How can a vision that doesn't move you to give, move anyone to give?

3. Your being a Founder will put you in a position where everything you own belongs to the Kingdom and goes back to the Kingdom. Infact, your money and life is no longer yours. They all belong to the kingdom. You can have ten million today and by tomorrow you are believing God for one million to pay your house rent. Because the ten million went for crusade equipments.

4. Your being a Founder will mean always having a vision and a dream to accomplish with little or no resources to accomplish it within the time you want to accomplish it. You will always need to exercise your Faith for Finance. If God gives you all the finance at once, your faith will have nothing to believe God for. The Just must continuously to live by faith.
If you read Exodus 23: 30, you will understand God doesn't do His work at once, it must be little by little until it is accomplished completely.

5. Your being a Founder will make people expect so much from you, even when you need help yourself.
You can't speak fear.
You can't speak defeat.
You can't speak problem.
Those who don't understand the language of the Kingdom will think it is Rosy and perfect with you.

6. Your being a Founder will put you in a very dangerous position of always having to take the blame when the ministry is not as successful as followers expect, or whenever things go wrong.
Everything rises and falls on Leadership. As bad as it may sound, some ignorant members also blame you for the death of church members. As if you are the one that determines when people should die.

7. Your being a Founder will put you in a position where even if you forgive rebels, you can no longer relate with them for your own good and for the good of the flock under your care.
For some of you hearing me, the day God forgives the devil and starts relating with him again, is the day you should relate with anyone who failed in his first attempt to destroy you.
In conclusion, I may need to know the sin the devil committed against God, and why has God refused to forgive him or relate with him after forgiving him?
Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.

It was in the mouth of Papa Oyedepo during his 50th birthday, I first heard 'I will keep forgiving and keep loving but I will forever remain vigilant'.
And I asked myself 'Why Vigilance?'. The devil is constantly looking for who to devour. He doesn't come physically, he comes through human agents.
Young man before you argue with me. Wait until you become a builder and watch People remove blocks from your already completed building to start their own building. Do you sit and watch your building collapse?

8. Your being a Founder will make you always take hard decisions that will sometimes present you as not having human feelings.

The truth is, if you want to be great, you must know how to balance and manage your feelings. You must know when to say YES and when to say NO. These two words have destroyed great ministries. He that must fulfil destiny must have mastery over feelings. Sometimes you may cancel the wedding of a committed daughter/son if the lady is found to be pregnant two days to the wedding ceremony. Most especially if the ministry policy is wedding will not hold if you are found to be pregnant. You won't know how difficult it is, until your loyal son is involved.
