RIGHT APPROACH TO SERVICE

Serving God is the greatest privilege in the world.

But there is a right way to serve Him.

Service approached on our own terms, according to our own strength, preferences, and agenda, is not the biblical approach.

GOD FIRST IS THE APPROACH.

We do not serve God because He is in need of what we have. He is the One who meets our needs as we serve Him.

When we serve God, we are not giving Him what He lacks; we are receiving grace from Him to do what He has called us to do.

Our strength, ability, wisdom, resources, and capacity for service all come from Him.

Therefore, we must learn to serve:

👉🏾At His pleasure
👉🏾According to His direction
👉🏾By His grace
👉🏾With the ability He provides
👉🏾For His glory

God is our authority, but He does not want our service to be driven merely by fear or obligation. He wants us to serve in a way that demonstrates that He is our treasure and our greatest delight.

So, don’t approach service with the mindset, What can I give God?

Approach it with, Lord, what grace are You giving me to serve You?

If any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 4:11

Serve God. Trust His grace. Follow His direction. Let Him be glorified.
