Text:Hebrews 12:1, Psalm 27:4

•The responsibility of dropping every weight that hinders you, lies on our shoulders.

•It's your responsibility to take away road blocks.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO TAKE AWAY THE ROAD BLOCKS

1). Delight yourself in the Lord - Isaiah 26:3

•To delight yourself in the Lord is to take pleasure in serving Him.

•Service should not be a burden, but a delight.

•Don't be in attendance because someone said so, but because you love God.

•God gives peace to the man who delights in Him - Proverbs 3:5

•You can't stumble, make mistakes, or work in error as long as God is the one directing your path, and you must trust in Him first, before He can help you - Psalm 37:4

•Delight yourself in God without murmurings or grumblings.

2). Do not allow the actions or inactions of others to restrict you from serving God - Psalm 73:1-2,17

•You don't know what you miss when you miss the gathering of the brethren - Hebrews 10:24-25

•Your attendance is not to add up to numbers, but to grow yourself - Psalm 84:7

•Delight yourself in His word - Psalm 119:165; 1:1-2; 119:9

•You can't stumble when you love God's word - Hosea 14:9, 1 Peter 2:4-8

•Take pleasure in studying God's word and take pleasure in doing it - 1 Corinthians 10:5-11

•The scriptures were written for believers growth and blessings - 2 Timothy 3:16

3). Focus on Jesus - Hebrews 12:2

•If you don't want to stumble, avoid distractions. Fix your gaze on Jesus and on Him alone.

•Whatever it is, hindering you from doing God's will is a distraction.

•You could be out of God's way and not even know.

4). Be vigilant.

•Don't be spiritually complacent.

•Don't isolate yourself from the brethren, no matter what.

•Don't be ignorant.

5). Tame your tongue - James 3:1-12

•Some people are being justified by their word, while some are being condemned by it - Proverbs 6:2, Ecclesiastics 5:1-7

6). Move at your pace.

•Realize that another man's pace and yours are unique. Observe your strength and capacity.

•Be consistent on whatever pace you're moving with and you'll experience growth - Ezekiel 47:3-6

•It is not the number of Bible verses you study, but the depth of revelation you receive.

Text:2 Corinthians 8:1-12

•Any of your actions (good or not), that affects the faith of a brother negatively, is an offence - Romans 14:13-15

•Your watch word in your conduct should be "will this make my brother stumble", not just if it's within your right to do so - 1 Corinthians 10:31-32

•What you do as a believer should defend the "faith", not the rightness of your actions - Matthew 17:24-27

•Don't let your actions make the world see God as a wicked God - Romans 2:24-25

•Murmuring, complaining and grumbling in biblical terms means, to speak against God, His ordained leaders or servants, in a subdued manner.

•The sin is not in the complaints, but in the manner in which it is done, the expression of your displeasure that matters.

•There's a wrong way and a right way to express your displeasure.

A). Wrong way to express displeasure - Exodus 14:10-12, Numbers 14:1-4; 12:1-3

A). Right way to express displeasure - Numbers 27:1-7

•You may have a good complaint, but the wrong presentation - Isaiah 1:18, 21

8 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T MURMUR

1. It displeases God - Number - 11:1, 1 Corinthians 10:1-5

•God is never pleased with a man who murmurs.

2. It is an act of ingratitude.

3. It is an act of unbelief - Numbers 14:11

•Whenever you're complaining, you're saying God is not faithful and you can do it better.

4. It is destructive - 1 Corinthians 10:10

•When you murmur you open yourself for the destroyer to come in - Numbers 24:4-6

5. It hinders the fulfillment of destiny - Number 14:20-35

•It slows progress.

6. It is against God's will - Philippians 2:14, Judge 1:16

7. It is against God - Exodus 16:8, Numbers 14:27

8. It is an act of rebellion - Numbers 14:1-4

•Murmuring is rebelling against God.

•Don't bring yourself in direct confrontation with God.

Topic:The Role Of Our Love Walk With Christ

Text:Ephesians 3:19, 1 John 4:8, John 3:17

•Our love with the Father is embedded in the foundation of love, for God is Love Himself.

•As a child of God, how we think, speak, act and relate is built and held together on the foundation of love.

•Loving God and loving humanity is the first and second commandments of God - Matthew 22:35-40

•Trying to rearrange God's order of love, is calling God a liar.

•Love for people is evidence that our love for God is genuine.

•Love is the true affection for humanity and the fullness of God.

•Our walk in love implies our lifestyle and conduct - Ephesians 5:2

•Until you understand what sacrifice is in love, you may be trading your faith, hope, etc in the premise of works.

•The Christian walk is an inward working and it may outrightly contradict the outward working (systems of the world)

•Love generally surrenders first, so as to conquer.

•Love can never be without purpose or plan and if God is Love, then He can never be mistaken.

•To surrender simply means to sacrifice.

•To surrender does not mean giving up, failing or being weak - Philippians 2:8

•Nobody walks in the instructions of God and fails.

•As long as you're a child of God, the love of Jesus is with you.

•Love is not a weakness, but spiritual maturity - Philippians 2:5-7

•Forgiveness is a seed that must be down everyday.

•Weakness is detrimental to the Christian walk.

•Loving God publicly but hating people secretly is not accepted in the kingdom - 1 John 4:20

OUR ROLE IN WALKING IN LOVE

1). Love God wholeheartedly.

•Obey God from your heart.

2). Love others (practically)

•Show compassion to people, help them.

3). To preserve the unity with other men and in church.

4). Reflect the character of Christ in dealing with others.

•Let your character reflect Christ in your environment.

5). Guard your heart against bitterness.

•Walking in love is the believer's daily responsibility and Christ's visible nature in action.

•The role of our love walk is to reach out and reconcile.

•Don't wait until resentment becomes hatred and then to murder.

Text:2 Corinthians 5:18

•Reconciliation is the act of restoring a friendly relationship that was in conflict, or disagreement.

•Christ ministry of reconciliation is the greatest expression of God's intentional love towards mankind.

•When man sinned, God did not abandon humanity, but rather pursued humanity into reconciliation.

•The reconciliation ministry of Jesus is the removal of enmity between God and man.

•The reconciliation ministry of Jesus, is the bringing back and restoring of relationship between God and man.

•Sin created a distance between man and God, but the love of Christ created a way back to God - Romans 5:8

•To pay the capital price, God made Jesus the guilty party to face the capital punishment for man. Christ laid Himself down to become the bridge between a Holy God and a sinful man (an easy access to God) - Romans 10:10

•The love of God did not ignore sin, but instead His love provided redemption from the course of sin.

•You must believe the redemptive power of Jesus and walk in that knowledge - Proverbs 26:2

•God's purpose is not forgiving the sins of men, but also for restoration and good relationship.

•God seeks true fellowship, togetherness, intimacy - John 4:24

•There can never be intimacy where there is no love.

•What sin did between God and man was very damaging, it was a divine relationship and trust that was broken - Genesis 3:10-13

•We cannot talk about Christ reconciliation, without talking about homes.

•We cannot carry hatred, strife, or bitterness to heaven. It is a stain.

•The reconciliation ministry of Christ reveals God's active love, redemption and sacrifice.

•What conquers the power of Satan in marriage/relationship is Love.

•What disobedience did to the relationship between Adam and God, is what anger and bitterness is doing in marriages today, through unresolved issues, communication breakdown, wounded trust, increased self-centeredness, etc

•Be quick to let go of bitterness - 1 Corinthians 6:19

•A marriage without reconciliation slowly becomes a relationship without intimacy.

•Intimacy cements relationship and fellowship.

•Choose peace instead of war. One person can take the bold step to bring in reconciliation.

•The signs of reconciliation comes with a melted heart and then affection builds up.

Text:Hebrews 12:1, 2 Corinthians 3:17

•To win the race set before you, you must drop every weight.

•If you're carrying a weight that is heavier than you, God didn't put it on you. It's either yourself or the devil - 1 Corinthians 10:13

•A weight is a stumbling block.

•The purpose of the weight, is to enable the enemy gain access into your life.

•The enemy can't stop you from being a child of God, but he can hinder/frustrate your walk with God - 1 Peter 5:8

•Don't make yourself available for the devil to devour - Ephesians 4:21

•To be devoured means "to waste". Being a child of God yet, nothing to show.

WHAT ARE THESE STUMBLING BLOCKS?
1). Religion - Matthew 5:1-2, 16-20

"Religion", is concentrating on the outward rather than inward.

•A lot of lives have been wasted because of religion.

•We are in an era where people judge the outward appearance rather than the inward - Matthew 23:27-28

•Religion seeks the praise and approval of men rather than God - Matthew 6:1-6

•Religion focuses on one's ability or works, rather than on grace - Romans 9:30-33, 1 Corinthians 15:9-10

•Religion tells you that the ability is from you not by grace - Philippians 4:13

•Be careful of anyone who tends to talk more about his abilities and never mentions his weaknesses.

•Don't let religion make you feel that God is not faithful or He's wicked.

•Religion complicates the message of salvation by preaching condemnation - John 3:16-17

2). Walking in offense - 1 Corinthians 10:23-33; 8:1-13, Romans 14:13-23

•Biblically, offense is an act or inaction which causes your brother to stumble.

Text:Mark 12:30

•The greatest commandment and foundation of the Christian life, is loving God wholeheartedly.

•Love is unending because God has no end.

•True love stays forever.

•When it comes to your might and strength, give it all to God - Matthew 6:33

•Christianity is first of all a life of love towards God, not by following church attendance and activities. Love for God goes beyond that.

•Stop hurting and love the One that has the permanent love.

•To enjoy true love, seek sincerely in your heart to find the true definition of relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

•The totality of Christianity is loving God.

WHEN A BELIEVER TRULY LOVES GOD, THESE SIGNS WILL BE PROMINENCE
1). Obedience

•Obeying becomes quick, joyful.

2). Worship becomes a heartfelt thing.

•You worship without reservation.

3). Prayer will become a fellowship time

•Prayer time won't be just about requesting.

4). To love God is to desire His word daily.

•When you love God, you place Him above worldly desires (deep things of the flesh) - Ephesians 2:3, John 14:15

•Find out how Jesus would love and do things - 1 Peter 4:2

•If you don't love God, you'll always feel weary to serve Him.

•Love for God is shown not only by words, but by devotion of lifestyle to Him.

•Taking pleasure in God is finding God Himself more pleasurable than worldly things.

SIGNS THAT A PERSON TRULY LOVES GOD
A. Hunger for purity and holiness.
B. Develop hatred for sin.
C. You'll be passionate for God's presence.
D. You will desire fellowship always.
E. Quick in obedience.

HOW TO GROW IN LOVE FOR GOD
1). Enjoy spending time in His presence (taking pleasure in being with Him)

2). Remove things that are competing with God in your heart/life.

3). Meditate on God's love towards you, through Jesus Christ.

4). Find quality time in word study daily.

5). Pray for a burning heart (a desire and fire for service)

SOME THINGS WHICH CAN KILL YOUR LOVE FOR GOD
1). The love of self and things above God.

2). Sin.

•There's no great or small sin. Sin can be a little disobedience.

3). Pride.

•When a person becomes full of self and refuses to be corrected.

4). Distraction.

•This is a shift and subtle separation from God.

5). Spiritual laziness.

•The inability to engage oneself in spiritual activities.

•God's word is the biggest weapon against every wiles of the enemy against you - 1 Peter 5:8, Ephesians 6:13

•Your love for God is your shield and a defense.

•When you love God, He opens Himself up to you - 1 Corinthians 2:9

•Loving God is walking yourself into God's greatest plan of eternity for yourself.
