DATE: FRIDAY JUNE 19TH 2026

THEME: ALWAYS PRAISE GOD

MEMORISE: Praise ye the LORD: For it is good to sing praises unto our God; For it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
Psalm 147:1

READ: Isaiah 38:18-20
18 For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

19 The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.

20 The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.

MESSAGE
Years ago, one of my daughters was diagnosed with cancer of the larynx, and the doctors told her that the only solution was to surgically remove her larynx (which is also known as the voice box). After the surgery, my wife and I visited her to pray and assure her that with God, all things are possible. Owing to the fact that her voice box had been removed. she couldn't speak, and the only way she could communicate was by texting. One day, I returned home from a trip, and as I got out of my car, I saw somebody rolling on the ground. It turned out to be my daughter, whose larynx had been removed and when she saw me, she said, "It's me, Daddy; I can speak again." I was genuinely grateful to God for restoring her voice and allowing her to sing praises to Him again.

Beloved, God gave you a voice so you could use it to praise Him. As long as you are alive, you should use your voice to praise Him continually. God deserves all your praise, and it is one sure way to get answers to your prayers.

During Hezekiah's reign, he appointed priests and Levites to minister to the Lord. Their job was to offer praise continually at the gates of the tents of the Lord, and the first thing anybody coming to the tents would see was the priests and Levites praising God (2 Chronicles 31:2). After a while, disaster struck, and King Hezekiah fell ill. He was so ill that God sent Prophet Isaiah to tell him that he would die. The king was devastated by the news, so he turned his face to a wall and cried out to God. He reminded God that he had walked before Him in truth and done things that were good in His sight. God heard his prayer and sent Isaiah to tell him that he would not die (Isaiah 38:1-8). The king knew how much God loves praise; therefore, he told God that the grave could not praise him and only the living could, as we see in today's Bible reading. Praise is always good and comely before God (Psalm 147:1).

Beloved, no matter what your circumstances are, you should praise God continually as long as you are alive. When you praise God, you are also destroying the enemy's plans and silencing the avenger (Psalm 149:6- 7). Let praise be your response to everything.

KEY POINT
Your voice exists primarily to sing praises to God.

HYMN 18: PRAISE TO THE LORD THE ALMIGHTY
1 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,
the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is
your health and salvation!
Come, all who hear;
now to his temple draw near,
join me in glad adoration.

2 Praise to the Lord, above
all things so wondrously reigning;
sheltering you under his wings,
and so gently sustaining!
Have you not seen all
that is needful has been
sent by his gracious ordaining?

3 Praise to the Lord, who will
prosper your work and defend you;
surely his goodness and mercy
shall daily attend you.
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,
if with his love he befriends you.

4 Praise to the Lord! O let all
that is in me adore him!
All that has life and breath,
come now with praises before him.
Let the Amen sound
from his people again;
gladly forever adore him

THEME: ALWAYS THANK GOD

MEMORISE: It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:
Psalm 92:1

READ: Matthew 15:30-38
30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:

31Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

32 Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?

34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.

35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.

26 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.

38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.

MESSAGE
Years ago, a very wealthy man came to see me and said that he was having trouble sleeping. He also said he was told that if I prayed for him, the problem would be solved. He added that he would give me 14 houses if l prayed for him, and the problem was solved. Of course, he didn't need to offer me his houses for me to pray for him, but his desperation to be able to sleep made him say so. Being able to sleep is one of the many divine blessings that are often taken for granted until one can no longer sleep or sees people who can't.

Beloved, you have a lot to thank God for, and living a life of thanksgiving makes you quick to recognize God's goodness in your life. Even amid challenges, when you are thankful, you will find many reasons to praise God. You will be quick to acknowledge that God is the reason things are not worse. You will also be confident that God is working things out in your favor (Romans 8:28).

When people thank God, He opens the windows of heaven to pour out His blessings upon them. In today's Bible reading, there were 4,000 hungry men, besides women and children, with Jesus and His disciples. Jesus had compassion on them and wanted to feed them; so, He asked His disciples to tell Him how much food they had. They replied that they had only seven loaves of bread and a few fishes. Despite the obvious inadequacy of the food to feed thousands of people, Jesus gave thanks, broke the bread, and handed them to His disciples to share among the multitude. His first response to the scarcity of resources was to give thanks. Jesus' heart of gratitude opened the windows of heaven for multiplication, and suddenly, the food that was too little to feed the multitude multiplied so much that everyone was filled, and they were left with seven baskets of leftovers.

Beloved, are you facing any difficult situation? Are you in dire need of resources, help, or a change in the circumstances surrounding your life? Do not despair or complain; rather, give God thanks. Despair or complaints will not multiply the little you have; however, thanksgiving will give you access to the miraculous. I pray that the Lord will open your eyes to see His grace at work in every facet of your life and help you to cultivate a heart of genuine gratitude, in Jesus' name.

KEY POINT
Giving thanks to God releases the miraculous.

HYMN 17: PRAISE MY SOUL THE KING OF HEAVEN
1 Praise, my soul, the King of heaven;
to his feet your tribute bring.
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
evermore his praises sing.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Praise the everlasting King!

2 Praise him for his grace and favor
to his people in distress.
Praise him, still the same as ever,
slow to chide, and swift to bless.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Glorious in his faithfulness!

3 Fatherlike he tends and spares us;
well our feeble frame he knows.
In his hand he gently bears us,
rescues us from all our foes.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Widely yet his mercy flows!

2026 TRAINING WEEKEND

TOPIC :
BREAKING BARRIERS AND BUILDING BRIDGES

TEXTS :
Eph 2:14-16 (KJV)
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of
partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in
ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity
thereby:

Isa 58:6-9 (KJV)
6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy
burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy
house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine
own flesh?
8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and
thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.
9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If
thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking
vanity;

INTRODUCTION
Many people think their biggest problem is:
Lack of money
Lack of opportunity
Lack of help
Often, the real problems are the invisible barriers and broken relationships. You can have:
Anointing, Talent, and Opportunity, ...but still not go far because of various barriers in your
heart and between people.

DEFINITION
What are barriers?
Barrier (Wall):Anything that separates, blocks, or limits connection. *Barriers* are anything visible
or invisible that obstructs the flow of communication, unity among people, Effectiveness in
ministry, transmission of vision, and reproduction of leaders. *Barriers* can be spiritual, emotional,
structural, or cultural.

Bridge : is anything that connects, restores, and unites. Bridges are intentional connections that are
made for the restoration of separation and disconnection. 2 Cor 5:18-19. We are reconciled
with God.
Life becomes easier when you learn to know
What to break
What to build

TYPES OF BARRIERS WE MUST BREAK
A. SPIRITUAL BARRIER (SIN)
The most dangerous barriers are the spiritual barriers. Isaiah 59:2"Your iniquities have separated
you from your God...
Sin separates man from God, and before you can connect with people, you must first be
connected to God. Connection with God is the Spiritual Connection, that gives rise to every other
connection and benefits.
Other things considered for spiritual barriers aside from sin are prayerlessness, lack of spiritual
sensitivity, pride, unforgiveness, jealousy, anger, etc. Gal 5:19-21. All the works of the flesh are
spiritual barriers. Heb 12:15. These are called Heart Barriers (lnner Issues), they are silent but
dangerous.
Example:
Adam and Eve hid from God after sin. Sin always creates distance.

B. CULTURAL AND ETHNIC BARRIERS
Even within the church, tribalism and cultural bias can hinder unity.
In Acts 10:28, Peter said:
"...it is unlawful for a Jew to associate with a Gentile..."Yet God broke that mindset.
John 4:9b. "...How is it that thou, being a Jew, asked drink of me, which ama woman of
Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans."
Acts 6:1. In a mega church, diversity increases:
Languages
Educational backgrounds
Ethnic identities
Without intentional bridge-building, diversity becomes division.

C. SOCIAL BARRIERS
Tribe
Background
Status (rich vs poor)
Education
James 2:1-4– Do not show favouritism.
These things divide churches today.

D. MENTAL BARRIERS
Fear ("They will reject me")
Inferiority ("l am not good enough")
Wrong thinking
Proverbs 23:7 - As a man thinks
Some barriers are not realthey are in your mind.

E. GENERATIONAL BARRIERS
Younger and older leaders often struggle to understand each other.
"Let no one despise your youth..." (1 Timothy 4:12)
Common issues:
Resistance to new ideas
Lack of respect across age groups
Communication gaps

F. RELATIONAL BARRIERS
"A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city..." (Proverbs 18:19)
Offenses, misunderstandings, and poor communication can silently destroy unity.

Consequences of Barriers
Ministry stagnation
Disconnected departments
Weak leadership pipeline
Reduced spiritual power

JESUS - THE MASTER BARRIER BREAKER
Ephesians 2:14
Jesus did not just preach-He demonstrated bridge building.

CASE STUDY 1:
THE SAMARITAN WOMAN (John 4:1-26)
Barriers present:
Tribe (Jew vs Samaritan)
Gender. Men avoided public interaction with women.
• Moral barriers, which were her sinful past.
But Jesus broke the barriers:
lgnored the barriers
Started a conversation
Showed love
Result:
One woman was saved
A whole city was transformed.

CASE STUDY 2:
ZACCHAEUS (Luke 19:1-10)
Zacchaeus was an example of Social barrier:
A sinner, A tax collector
Rejected
Hated
The lepers
The poor and
The marginalized
People built walls around him.
But Jesus said:
will come to your house."
That one act broke the barrier.
Result:
His life changed
He restored what he stole

CASE STUDY 3:
THE L***R (Mark 1:40-42)
Nobody touches lepers.
But Jesus touched him.
That touch broke:
Social barrier
Physical barrier

Emotional barrier

If you avoid people becaUse of their condition, you cannot help them.

DANGERS OF LIVING WITH BARRIERS
1. It Blocks Your Prayers
Mark 1l:25. If you don't forgive, God won't hear you.

2. It Destroys Relationships
You will lose:
Friends
Family
Destiny helpers

3. t Limits Your Growth
You cannot grow in isolation.

4. It Destroys Churches.
Many churches are full of people but empty of unity.

PRACTICAL STEPS TO BREAK BARRIERS
1. CHECK YOUR HEART DAILY
Psalm 139:23
Ask: "Lord, is there anything in me?"

2. FORGIVE QUICKLY
Do not store offenses.
Delay in forgiveness = building a wall

3. DEAL WITH PRIDE
Proverbs 13:10
Pride creates distance.

4. SPEAK TRUTH IN LOVE
Ephesians 4:15
Do not gossip-address issues properly.

5. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
Stop saying:
"It's their fault"
Bridge builders say:
"What can I do to fix this?"

BUILDING BRIDGES- KINGDOM STRATEGIES
Breaking barriers is not enough. You must build bridges intentionally.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BUILD BRIDGES?

Building bridges me ans restoring broken relationships, creating connections, and making
peace.

2 Corinthians 5:18.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himselfF by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us
the ministry of reconciliation.
Every believer is a bridge builder because God has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

TYPE OF BRIDGES
1. Spiritual Bridges
"l sought for a man... who would stand in the gap..." (Ezekiel 22:30)

Prayer networks
Intercessory teams
Spiritual retreats

2. Relational Bridges

HOW TO BUILD BRIDGES INTENTIONALLY
Be approachable: Smile, greet people
Show kindness: Small acts matter.
Help others grow: Mentor, support
Accept differences: Not everyone is like you

THE COST OF BUILDING BRIDGES
Bridges cost:
Humility
Time
Patience
Emotional sacrifice
But the reward is:
Peace
Growth
Unity
Open doors

BIBLICAL CASE STUDIES

Organised people
Addressed internal issues
Built collaboratively

b. Acts 6:1-7. Managing Cultural Tension

The apostles responded by:
Listening
Delegating
Creating new leadership structures
Result: Church growth increased.

c. Paul: Cross-Cultural Bridge Builder
"9 have become all things to all men..." (1 Corinthians 9:22)
Paul adapted without compromising truth.

CONCLUSION
Jesus broke the biggest barrier-sin.
Now He is calling you to:
Break barriers in your heart
Build bridges in your relationships

Ponder Points
Who have you avoided?
Who do you need to forgive?
Where have you built a wall?
