BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE
TOPIC: *THE LAW OF EXPECTATION…………………….. Part 2*
*INTRODUCTION*
In the first part of this study, we looked at the meaning of the law of expectation which says that you eventually get what you expect. In other words, if you expect nothing you get nothing. We also discussed some biblical examples of those who expected something which they eventually got. Today, we shall conclude our study by looking at how to activate the power of the law of expectation. May the Lord bless us beyond expectations in Jesus name, amen.
*HOW TO ACTIVATE THE POWER OF THE LAW OF EXPECTATION*
Certainly, there must be a valid reason for whatever you expect. In other words, you must have a real, biblical basis for your expectations. There are three primary factors that helps one to generate positive expectations that can activate the power of the law of expectations in one's favor;
1. The character of God – This refers to the person of God, who God is and what God represent (Ps. 62:5, Ps. 27:13, Job 13:15, Eph. 3:20, Mark 11:22-24, John 11:39-40).
2. The History of God - This refers to what God has done before, the track record of God. Now, God doesn’t show favoritism (Rom. 2:11, Mk. 5:27-28, Mark 10:47-48, James 2:14 & 17).
3. The Word of God – In the word of God are thousands of promises throughout the Scriptures, we have plenty of chance and reason to initiate positive expectations and also to receive beyond expectations (2 Chron. 1:20, Heb. 10:23, Acts 27:23-24, Rom. 4:17-20, Luke 17:5).
*CONCLUSION*
Maybe it’s time you take inventory of your expectations. Are you troubled with deception such as; whatever can go wrong, will go wrong, or what will be will be? If yes, then ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to Scriptures promises and stories that charges up your faith that something good is going to happen. Then keep those words running through your mind and in your mouth by faith. Then wait expectantly to see what God will do.
