The Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Catholic Chaplaincy, Rivers State University – St. Cecilia Choir warmly invites you to a powerful evening of worship, reflection, and sacred music as we journey through the sacred season of Lent.
This spiritually uplifting event will feature soul-stirring Lenten hymns, deep moments of reflection, and music that leads us closer to the mystery of Christ’s sacrifice and redemption. 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗢 𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 ✝️🇻🇦.

1. Kneel down and say, "Forgive me father for I have sinned."

2. Then say: "It is, weeks, months,

years since my last confession."

3. Then tell the priest your sins and how many times you committed each sin.

If you cannot remember how many times, tell the priest about how many times, for example: "about five times." Or, you may say how many times you committed a sin every day, or every week or every month.

Do not say "Several times" or "many times"

4. When you have finished, say: "I am sorry for these sins,

and those I cannot remember and I ask your pardon and peace" 5. Then listen to what the priest says and the penance he gives you.

6. Then say the Act of sorrow (contrition). "O, my God, I am very sorry that I have sinned against You, because You are so good and loving. With the help of Your grace I will not sin again."

7. Then the priest will give absolution. After this, return to your seat to pray and do the penance the priest has given you.

Praying together at home is one of the most beautiful gifts you can give your family. It reminds everyone that God is part of your daily life, not just someone you meet only in church.

When families pray together, they talk to God together, they learn to forgive each other more easily, they find strength in difficult times, and they stay united.

Even short prayers, a simple “Thank You, Lord,” or a family rosary builds love, peace, and trust in the home. A praying family may still face challenges, but they never face them alone, God stays right in the middle of their home.
