WE WON’T ASSUME YOU KNOW HIM

We won’t assume you know Him…

Those were the words he said to me.

A few moments ago, two young men walked up to me, smiled, and asked for a few minutes of my time. I welcomed them and gave them my attention.

While we spoke, one of them asked me a question:

“Who is Jesus to you?”

I calmly and confidently responded,

“Jesus is my Lord and personal Saviour.”

“Wow,” he said. “I love that.”

But then he added something that stayed with me:

“We don’t want to assume you know Him… because it goes beyond superficial knowledge to experiential knowledge.”

That hit differently.

Here’s why I’m sharing this…

It is risky to live on assumptions in a walk that is not truly in existence.

It is dangerous to fake a life you do not genuinely have.

Going to church does not mean you know Jesus.

Saying the sinner’s prayer does not automatically mean He lives in you.

It has to be intentional.

When he asked me that question, it honestly sounded strange at first.

I was almost tempted to respond from a place of identity , to say, “I am an evangelist too.”

But I restrained myself.

I listened.

And when I said, “Jesus is my Lord and personal Saviour,”

my own words pierced my heart.

The meaning of that statement came alive again in my spirit.

The fact that Jesus came for everyone does not mean everyone has received Him.

The fact that He died for all does not mean all have accepted Him.

No.

Jesus is different things to different people.

To some, He is a healer.

To some, a deliverer.

To some, a Saviour.

But the greatest thing that can happen to any man is the revelation of who Jesus is to them personally.

Because it doesn’t matter who you have met in life…

If you haven’t met Jesus, you are still lost.

For me, Jesus is my Lord and my personal Saviour.

That means He is the Governor of my life.

The One who directs my path.

The One I look at daily (Hebrews 12:2).

As my personal Saviour, everything about my life flows from my encounter with Him.

I no longer live for myself.

The life I have now is a result of the life He gave me.

Yes, many people may have answered an altar call the same day I did…

But what happened to me was personal.

My encounter is personal.

My transformation is personal.

My walk is personal.

So I cannot measure my life by others.

I cannot build my convictions on people’s opinions.

My walk with God is built on:

His instructions to me.
His truth in His Word.
And the convictions He has formed in my heart.

Not what people feel I should do.

Not what emotions try to suggest.

This walk is real. Or it is nothing.

So I will ask you again…

Do you truly know Him?

Or have you just heard about Him?

Because we won’t assume you know Him.

Let us pray🙏

I know you are asking for bread…

But God will not give you a stone.
He cannot give you a stone.

Your expectations are valid, and God hears every one of them.

A swift reminder: your dreams are not too big.

You deserve the very best that God has prepared for you.

What you call a delay… is often a blessing in disguise.

Celebrate it.

If you have what you want, when you want it, and how you want it, then you may not be following God, you may be following your own will.

No man followed himself and arrived at true greatness or fulfilled the plan God had for him.

So don’t forget, whether it is raining or shining, the bread you are asking God for will never suddenly become a stone.

No, it won’t.
Of what benefit is a stone to a hungry soul that longs to be satisfied with bread?

As much as you desire that thing, do not let pressure, time, or seasons push you ahead of God.

It is bread you are asking for, do not be overwhelmed by what only looks like bread
but it is actually stone.

I speak spiritual things here.

May God give you understanding.

STOP EATING EVERYWHERE

I don’t know who this is for, but I want to tell you this for free…

Stop eating everywhere.

Yes, you heard me right...stop eating from everywhere.

Kings don’t eat everywhere, anywhere, and anyhow.
You cannot grow when you feed from everywhere.

There is a kind of growth that only comes through order, consistency, and alignment. When you eat anything, everything, everywhere, and at any time, even what seems nutritious, can become harmful to your spiritual health.

I am speaking spiritually, my friend…

I know you desire growth. But this growth comes through consistency, diligence, and persistence, not by jumping from one place to another, feeding from different altars and voices.

By all means, do not eat from everywhere.
Locate where God has planted you, and give yourself fully to it. Your gifting, calling, and graces will find expression there.

Constant movement breeds confusion.
No matter your zeal or passion, feeding from multiple sources without discernment can contaminate the seed God has already planted in you.

Sir/Ma, guard what you have.
Many started well but are struggling today because they became scattered, everyone became their father, and they allowed just anyone to lay hands on them, without discernment, forgetting that not everyone is sent by God.

Stay with God. Allow time and seasons to work in you.

Everything you desire from God will come to pass. Your heartfelt prayers will manifest.
But never forget,do not eat everywhere.

May God grant you understanding.

I recently reflected on something and smiled...

You see, this thing called passion is contagious. It is real.

When a man is passionate about something, everything he does points to his passion.

You cannot say you're passionate about God and you are not driven to prayer, the word and there is no hunger for God and growth in you.

Passion generates hunger. Show me a man who is passionate for God and I will tell you that the man is hungry. He or she is a man who wants to eat. One way to show that a man is hungry for God is that the man is passionate. He wants to be found around anything about God and he doesn't spew the things that he eats that can bring growth and depth in him.

Many years ago, I remember how I was going from one meeting to another. Yes, I was a deeper life brought up, who solely attended the Deeper Life Church. Amongst us in deeper life were hungry brethren who loved the Lord and desired him passionately. I can't tell how we got to meet each other but one thing is sure, hunger made our paths cross with each other.

Many of us were in a youth choir then, and we would organize prayer meetings from one location to another, just to seek God. It was always a moment of refreshment. We had no leader but we had someone who would look at, who will learnt from and who we always loved his life, his passion and hunger, and of course, we desired even more. Oftentimes whenever we were having a retreat programme, and as choristers we were to come for pre-camping, which we gladly waited for. Before the pre-camping day, we decided to go ahead of the day to pray together, both for the region, the choristers, and ourselves. Those experiences were what I couldn't trivialize. It birthed something real in me. A hunger that nothing in this world can consume.

I remember how my brother and I would be preaching in the streets, and when we saw a demon-possessed person, we would take him or her to a nearby church, yes a deeper life church, and start casting out the demon from the fellow.

The level of passion was beautiful. It was real. I remember several powerful prayer meetings we had among my clan(brethren) that God's presence came down strongly and it ended up being a deliverance night. Ahhh!!!🔥🔥

I had the most exciting moments of passion and hunger for God whilst I was growing up. No wonder being in the lion's den of life, I couldn't be consumed by the Lions.

During those moments, there were obstacles and persecutions we faced, but we remained steadfast in our passion and yielded to God.

There is something God has to do in you before you can retain a lifelong pursuit of Him. Many times we make decisions to follow Jesus, no turning back, but the moment a difficult or challenging moment comes, many surrender what they had promised not to give up on. The question that will be asked is where is Jesus when this happens to me? Does Jesus still love me?? If he cares for me, then he should change or turn this into wine, turn my shame into blessing, turn my reproach into pleasant things. Yes, Jesus can do that but you see, that's not the way of passion and pursuit for God. The Bible says in Matthew 16:24

If any man will come after me, he must deny himself and follow after me. Your ability to deny yourself makes you a true follower in the pursuit of God.

You must beat yourself and say to yourself, even if life doesn't go the way I have planned, I will still follow Jesus. Your genuine hunger and pursuit is not a bread and butter or a trade by batter. It should be fueled by love and passion, if not you cannot follow Him to the very end.

Passion for God cannot be exaggerated. If you don't have a true passion for God you will know, and others will know. The beautiful thing is that you can begin the journey of true passion and pursuit for God now because you don't have eternity to get it right, you only have now.

Selah.

I AM STILL ANGELA- BUT I HAVE BECOME ANOTHER MAN

I have been thinking about my life lately, and I became surprised by how much I have been transformed so much so that people could look at me and say, “Is this not Angela who used to be like this?”

And then I begin to wonder why I seem far from who I once boldly professed to be and consistently stood for.

This change concerns me not in fear, but in reflection especially as it relates to my life’s purpose and the prophecies spoken over me.
I remember being a God-chaser. Anyone who ever knew me would say, “This child is different.”
Called from her mother’s womb.
Separated for an assignment.
One upon whom the hand of God rests heavily.

Yes, I was Angela who knew God’s assignment for her life. I knew without doubt that I would be used mightily by God.
What surprises me lately is not that I have changed, but how I have changed.
Yes, I am still Angela, but not the same Angela.
I have become another man.

A man who considers Jesus rather than self.
I used to love taking pictures—yes, I could call it my hobby (lol).

But I noticed something shocking: I get so lost in my primary purpose of existence that I forget what I once called a hobby.
And this reminds me of a truth:
True transformation does not begin from the outside; it begins from the inside.
Any change that does not start with the inner man will never last.

When you truly know your assignment, you pursue it deliberately and focus on it wholeheartedly.
Anything you do outside God’s original plan and purpose for your life becomes a distraction.
And distractions are powerful enough to pull a man away from his divine assignment.
In my book, The Man on Assignment for God, I unveiled this truth: distraction is one of the greatest pitfalls of a man on assignment.
It is not enough to know what God wants you to do.

Doing what God wants you to do is paramount.
So let me ask you:
How lost have you become in the assignment that you forget about yourself?
Have you been so consumed with God’s agenda for your life that you are willing to spend and be spent?

Beloved, when you discover what God wants you to do, you come under divine urgency to live it out.
Nothing else makes sense outside God’s plan and purpose for your life.
The reason many still chase other things—spending time on what they shouldn’t even desire—is because they have not discovered what God has called them to do.

Every day I wake up, my thoughts are simple yet consuming:
How can I be a blessing today?
What difference can I make?
How can my voice bring peace, direction, healing, and comfort to a soul?

Before I drop my pen, let me ask you:
What are you living for?
Are you still the person you used to be—or have you become another man for the fulfillment of God’s agenda on earth?
Ponder on this.
Let us pray 🔥🙏

SOULS STILL MATTER 🔥

Have you ever wondered what would have happened to you if you were not saved?
Have you ever paused to imagine what your life would look like if you had never known Jesus?

Have you thought about those who are still living in sin, swimming in unrighteousness?
Many of them commit all kinds of atrocities in the morning, during the day, and at night they soak their beds with tears of sorrow and regret over what they have done.

Souls still matter.

Many of those you look away from, those you have tagged as the “worst sinners,” may be the very ones crying out for a deliverer. They are waiting for someone who will look at them with compassion and say, “Jesus loves you,” and then lead them to the light.

I remember telling a friend during my university days, “I don’t see men as men, I see them as souls.” Kai! That is what drives me to communicate Jesus to them.

That wretched sinner you see today, whom you refuse to talk to about Jesus, might be living their last day on earth.

Souls still matter.

What if you were in their place?
Would you want to be ignored, concluded, and despised?

I recently passed through a route I walked years ago and saw that it is still used for harlotry. Girls lodge there, and men come to sleep with them. I wept in my heart. These are young people with promising futures. Imagine if they encountered Jesus. Obviously, they would not remain where they are.

What about the cultist?
What about the young boys and girls in our schools?
What about the once-fervent brothers and sisters who have given up the race and sold their batons to corruption?

Please, go and tell them: they still matter.

What happened to the days of passion and pursuit for God?
What happened to the days when we went to the streets, neighborhoods, and homes preaching Jesus?
What happened to the encounters that fueled our love for Yahweh and made our hearts burn to see men transformed and translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light?

Go and tell them.
Tell that tired pastor.
Tell that brother who knows he carries a Levitical calling but has abandoned the altar.
Kai! Tell that sister who encountered Jesus in her younger years, who was once a firebrand for Him, but is now an instrument of distraction, slaying innocent men out of focus and destiny.

Tell them.
Tell her.
Tell him.

They matter.

Let us pray.
