TOPIC: THE POWER OF THOUGHT
SCRIPTURE: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When thought changes, action changes, and when action changes, outcome changes.
Our Scripture today, makes it clear that life flows out of thought. Life’s issues flow out of thought.
This means, thought quality affects life quality. Anywhere you see a quality man, he is a product of quality thought. The deeper your thought, the brighter your life. Anywhere you see a solid life, it is a product of solid thought.
Now, one of the greatest tragedies of life is the tragedy of thoughtlessness. And thoughtlessness gives birth to aimlessness which ultimately results in uselessness. That means when a person is useless, he is thoughtless; and when a person is thoughtless, he is useless.
It is very important to know that thought is the raw material for results. It is thought that sponsors results in life. The reason why we see different results is because we think differently.
Thoughtlessness equals resultlessness. Why is it that some pass examinations while others fail? It is the quality of their thought.
Your thought is what sponsors your action, and action determines outcome. Everything we do is a function of how we think. Before you stand up from your seat, you must think about it. Before you start fasting and praying, you must think about it. Before you give an offering, you must think about it. Thought is what sponsors action and action is what sponsors outcome. Action determines outcome.
So, if you do not like your action, change your thinking. When thought changes, action changes; and when action changes, outcome changes.
REMEMBER THIS: When thought changes, action changes; and when action changes, outcome changes.
