*THURSDAY, JULY 11, 2024*

*THE PURPOSE AND POWER OF THE FIVE FOLD MINISTRY*

*BIBLE READING: DEUTERONOMY 18: 5-22; ROMANS 15: 8-27*
*1 CORINTHIANS 12:28-31*

*“And He Himself gave some to be Apostles, some Prophets, some Evangelists, and some Pastors and Teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the Work of Ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ, till we all come to the Unity of the Faith and of the Knowledge of the Son of God, to a Perfect Man, to the Measure of the Stature of the Fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the Truth in Love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the Head: Christ.” Ephesians 4: 11-15 (NKJV)*

The Concept of the Five-fold Ministry comes from our Key Scriptural Text, particularly Ephesians 4:11. Essentially, as a result of this verse, it is evident that the Lord God Almighty is restoring the Offices of Apostle and Prophet in the Church today. Ephesians 4:12-13 tells us that the Purpose of the Five-fold Ministry is *"to prepare God’s people for Works of Service, so that the Body of Christ may be built up UNTIL WE ALL REACH UNITY IN THE FAITH and IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SON OF GOD and BECOME MATURE, ATTAINING TO THE WHOLE MEASURE OF THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST"*(verse 12-13). So it goes without saying that since the Body of Christ definitely is not yet built up to Unity in the Faith and has not attained to the Whole Measure of the Fullness of Christ, the Offices of Apostle and Prophets remain relevant now hence must still be in effect even today.

However, Ephesians 2:19-20 (NKJV) says the following: *"Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the Household of God, having been built on the Foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Cornerstone."* Although the Lord Jesus Christ is still obviously Active in the Church today in the Capacity of His Post-Incarnate Ministry, His Role as the Cornerstone of the Church was finished with His Death, Burial, Resurrection and Ascension. It is safe to conclude that if the Work of the Cornerstone is complete, so must the work of the Apostles and Prophets, who were the Foundation, also be complete.

This then begs the question: *What exactly was the role of the Foundational Apostles and Prophets?* It was to proclaim God’s Revelation and to teach the New Truth the Church of Jesus Christ would need in order to grow and thrive. The Apostles and Prophets completed this Mission. How did they do this? *By giving us the Word of God, which is the Complete Revelation of God.* The Holy Bible contains everything the Body of Christ needs to know to grow, thrive, and fulfill God’s Mission. It is also worthy of note that the additional Ministry Offices of the Evangelist, the Pastor and the Teacher evolved from the Apostolic and Prophetic Foundation as the Early Church grew, making them relevant to the Great Commission even today *(Acts 13:1-2; Acts 21:8; 1Tim. 3:1-7).*

2Timothy 3:15-16(NKJV) says the following: *"And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for Salvation through Faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God and is profitable for Doctrine, for Reproof, for Correction, for Instruction in Righteousness."* The Cornerstone Work of the Foundational Apostles and Prophets is complete, but their Ongoing Work is still being manifested in the Holy Spirit speaking through us and teaching us God’s Word. On that premise, the Five-fold Ministry is still very active even today.

In view of this, we then have a solemn responsibility as Christian believers to have a Deeper Revelation of the Spiritual Leaders placed over us and to support them maximally which can be seen in the Scriptures stated below: *"Dear brothers and sisters, honour those who are your leaders in the Lord's Work. They work hard among you and warn you against all that is wrong. Think highly of them and give them your Wholehearted Love because of their Work. And remember to live peaceably with each other* 1Thess. 5: 12-13(NLT). Let us pause for a moment and meditate on this: *The Lord Jesus Christ is still in the Business of perfecting or maturing His saints to become Effective Christian ministers.* However, expecting Him to leave His Throne in the Highest Heaven to do so would be tantamount to a pipe dream. That is the Primary Purpose of His Ministry Gifts i.e., the Fivefold Ministry: *"Obey your Spiritual Leaders and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they know they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this joyfully and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit"* Heb. 13:17 (NLT).

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we pray that You grant us the Wisdom to comprehend the Purpose of the Fivefold Ministry and grant us the Grace to align, cooperate with, and support our Leaders maximally in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*FRIDAY, JULY 5, 2024*

*THE SEVEN MOUNTAINS OF SOCIETY AND CULTURE*

*BIBLE READING: REVELATION 11:15; ISAIAH 2:2; ROMANS 12:6-8*

*"Saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain to receive Power and Riches and Wisdom and Strength and Honour and Glory and Blessing!” Revelation 5:12(NKJV)*

One of the most underrated Truths about Christianity is the fact that it will take all of the Body of Christ to minister to all of the world. The most reliable statistics reveal that only about 7% of the Church in general are actually called into what we know as *"the Fivefold Ministry."* The implication is that the remaining 93% of Christian believers in most traditional Churches have been rendered largely redundant due to ignorance emanating from one of the greatest preconceived notions in the Church: *Only ordained clergymen are called into the Ministry.* This is an error under the Sun and is contrary to the Holy Scriptures which state that the Son of Man came *"to seek and save THAT which was lost"* (Lk. 19:10). The key word in the aforementioned phrase, which is highlighted, is "THAT" instead of "WHO." In other words, one Major Purpose of the Incarnation, Earthly Ministry and Sufferings of our Lord Jesus Christ was so that He would redeem both man AND his society *(Ps. 24:1).*

The Holy Bible states in very explicit terms that the House of the Lord, which is the Church, is a Mountain destined to *"be established on the top of the mountains..."* (Mic. 4:1b). Simply put, the Mountain of Religion/Worship (another expression for "the Mountain of the Lord's House or the Church") reserves a place of preeminence on the top of all the other Six Mountains. The following are the Seven Mountains of Society and Culture upon which every Christian believer is called to ascend and to possess for the Lord Jesus Christ Himself:

*(1.) The Mountain of Government:* Every Christian believer called upon this Mountain has been called to show forth the Glory of God through the vehicle of governance and politics in the Spirit of Humility in a bid to nullify the satanic influence of pride and corruption *(Is. 2:2).*

*(2.) The Mountain of Economy:* All Christian believers upon this mountain are called to bring it under the Influence of the Spirit of Liberality and Sacrifice so that we may overthrow the Babylonian satanic system driven by the spirit of covetousness and poverty *(Phil. 4:19).*

*(3.) The Mountain of Education:* Every Christian believer with a Call upon this Mountain has a Divine Mandate to restore the Fear of God to the very heart of the Educational System by getting rid of the fivefold virus of secular humanism, liberalism, rationalism, agnosticism and atheism *(Prov. 1:7).*

*(4.) The Mountain of Family:* All Christian believers called upon this Mountain have been given a Divine Duty to restore fractured families that have been enmeshed within the web of rejection which births diverse types of moral cancers such as abortion and various sexual perversions especially homosexuality *(Mal. 4:5-6).*

*(5.) The Mountain of Religion/Worship:* Every Christian believer called upon this Mountain has being raised by the Lord Jesus Christ as an Authentic Priest according to the Order of Melchizedek with a Divine Mandate to unmask the worship thief i.e., satan himself, and expose every form of idolatry (overt or covert) by the Power of the Holy Spirit *(Jn. 4:23-24).*

*(6.) The Mountain of Celebration of Arts and Entertainment:* All Christian believers called upon this Mountain have a Divine Calling to be anointed by God as Celebrities who have the responsibility of shining the Creative Light of His Multifaceted Nature through Anointed Works of Creative Art designed to displace perverted counterfeits inspired by the chief imitator himself i.e., the devil *(Ps. 16:11).*

*(7.) The Mountain of Media/Communication:* Genuine sons of God upon this Mountain have a Divine Duty to deliver the News from a Redemptive Perspective in order to stifle the promotion of terror and fear through the world's Babylonian system of news delivery *(Is. 52:7).*

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we exalt You for entrusting unto us the Seven Mountain Mandate. O Lord, please help each of us discover every mountain to which we have been assigned in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*MONDAY, JULY 1, 2024*

*UNDERSTANDING MINISTRY*

*BIBLE READING: PSALM 90:16-17; LUKE 3:23; ACTS 13:2; 1TIMOTHY 1:12*

*"But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an Evangelist, fulfill your ministry." 2Timothy 4:5 (NKJV)*

Every human being in existence was originally designed and created by the Lord God Almighty for a Unique Purpose *(Ecc. 3:1).* The Holy Scriptures make us understand that He is an Intentional God Who creates and does everything with a Specific Reason in Mind. The Process involved in accomplishing that Reason or Purpose is called Ministry. One of the greatest types of frustration every genuine pastor faces is knowing that the vast majority of the brethren under his pastoral care are oblivious to the Dynamics of Ministry.

Ministry could essentially be defined as *"the Pursuit of Purpose."* Nevertheless, it is practically impossible to pursue that which one cannot see or perceive as revealed in the Holy Scriptures by the prophet Habakkuk: *"Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the Vision and MAKE IT PLAIN ON TABLETS, THAT HE MAY RUN WHO READS IT”* Hab. 2:2(NKJV). A better grasp or understanding of Ministry becomes possible when we distinguish these three interrelated terms: *Purpose, Vision and Ministry.* Let us therefore compare and contrast the aforementioned terms:
*(1.) Purpose:* This is basically the Essence of one's existence.

*(2.) Vision:* This refers to a glimpse, picture, or understanding of diverse phases of one's purpose.

*(3.) Ministry:* This talks about the Actual Process of fulfilling one's purpose in life i.e., the Pursuit of Purpose.

Simply put, every single thing we engage ourselves in, which is geared towards the accomplishing of our God-given Assignment, is fundamentally our Ministry *(Phil. 3:12-14).* Authentic Ministry is basically any service that is rendered to God and humanity. In other words, anything someone does or any vocation he may get involved in which neither glorifies God nor edifies fellow man qualified to be referred to as Ministry *(Matt. 12:17-21).* The basic truth is that every genuine minister is a servant because every Genuine Ministry involves Service and work *(Jn. 9:4).*

Many Christian believers all over the world are quick to shy away from Ministry due to their ignorance of its actual scope and range. The Holy Bible clearly states that the Major Purpose of the Fivefold Ministry (also known as the Clergy) is *"for the equipping of the saints for the Work of the Ministry, for the Edifying of the Body of Christ..."* (Eph. 4:12). In other words, Ministry isn't the exclusive responsibility of the Clergy: *It is an all-inclusive task that requires all hands to be on deck because it takes the Whole Church to reach the whole world.* In view of this, the onus lies upon all Christian believers to stop being redundant and seek to understand the Dynamics of the Ministry into which we have been called.

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we magnify Your Holy Name for deeming us worthy to be called into the Ministry. O Lord, please unveil to us the Work which You have set aside for us to accomplish in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*DOMINION MANDATE DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

*SATURDAY, JUNE 29, 2024*

*RETAINING THE LORD'S HARVEST*

*BIBLE READING: JOHN 10: 1-16; GENESIS 3:1-5; 1CORINTHIANS 14:26*

*"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain." John 15:16 (NKJV)*

The Lord Jesus Christ commands us as a Church and as individual Christian believers to bear fruit and for our fruit to remain. Nevertheless, how can our fruit remain with our Backdoor wide open as a Church? The Front Door represents people coming into the Church while the Backdoor represents people leaving the Church. The Lord Jesus is the Door into the Sheepfold *(Jn. 10:7-10)* and it is the Will of God that those who come into the Fold remain and are established. It is possible for a Church to have their Front Door open as well as their Backdoor. The implication is that the Church has people coming and going and, therefore will be unable to sustain numerical Growth.

There are many factors that keep the Back Door of a Church open. Let us examine some of them and how to prevent them.

*1. A PRAYERLESS CHURCH:* A prayerless Church will constantly have their Backdoor wide open and cannot sustain Growth. In Prayer, we resist the devil from deceiving and stealing new believers from the Church *(Jam. 4:7).*

*2. LACK OF SOUND DOCTRINE:* In the absence of Sound Teaching that is rooted in the Word, the devil will deceive many believers and new converts and lead them to backslide.

*3. LACK OF PROPER FOLLOW-UP STRATEGIES*: Without an Effective Follow-up Strategy, new converts will leave the Church just as fast as they came in. Putting Systems of Follow-up and Integration in place will go a long way in keeping the Backdoor of the Church closed.

*4. ABSENCE OF DISCOVERY BIBLE STUDY GROUPS:* Small groups like this help to integrate and assimilate new converts, and give them a Bible Study Platform to express themselves and to discover God for themselves.

*5. NOT ENGAGING NEW BELIEVERS IN MINISTRY:* People should be involved in Ministry from day one. This gives them an opportunity to grow. An idle Christian is an easy target for the devil and his deception.

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we exalt You for sustaining us. O Lord, we ask You to help us keep the Backdoor of our Church firmly shut in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26, 2024*

*PRAYING TO THE LORD OF THE HARVEST*

*BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 9:35-38; MARK 9:43,48; JOHN 4:35-36; 1TIMOTHY 5:17-18*

*"Then said He unto His Disciples, “The Harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the Harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His Harvest." Matthew 9:37-38 (KJV)*

The Lord Jesus charges all Christian believers globally to remain constantly aware that every soul lost is Invaluable to God and must be saved from spending Eternity in hell. The Reality is that multitudes of them can be saved if only someone presents the Gospel of Salvation to them *(Rom. 10:14-15).* Hell is no myth but actually refers to a literal place of Eternal Torment reserved for the ungodly alone *(Mk. 9:43, 48).* The Holy Scriptures teach us that one doesn't cease to exist after death but continues on forever, either in the Presence of God or in a place of Eternal Damnation.

There are Four Basic Things the Holy Bible admonishes us about with particular respect to the state of the lost:

*(1.) The Lord Jesus Christ Himself teaches us that there is a place of Eternal Punishment reserved for those condemned before God:* This is the terrifying reality of continuous punishment in the place of a *"fire that never shall be quenched"*(Mk. 9:43), a place where for Eternity there would be *"weeping and gnashing of teeth"* (Matt. 13:42, 50).

*(2.) The Teachings of the Apostles elaborate the Coming Judgment of God to inflict Divine Vengeance on those who disobey the Gospel:* This refers to a literal Eternal Separation from the Presence of the Lord God Almighty Himself. *(2 Thess. 1:5-9).*

*(3.) The Holy Bible teaches that Divine Judgment passed upon all evil doers is a foregone conclusion:* The inevitable result of rejecting the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is Eternal Condemnation, Eternal Suffering and Eternal Separation from God for all of Eternity. Some Christian believers may find this Doctrine odious or hard to comprehend yet the onus lies upon us to submit to the Authority of God's Word and have absolute confidence in His Decision and the Integrity of His Divine Justice *(Heb. 9:27).*

*(4.) We must keep at the back of our minds and foremost the Truth that the Lord God Almighty sent His Son Jesus to die for us all on the Old Rugged Cross so that no one else needs to perish:* It is neither God's Intention nor Desire to throw anyone into hell *(2 Pet. 3:9).* Those who find themselves in hell do so by resisting and rejecting the Blessed Salvation provided by God. Therefore, now is the Acceptable Time of Salvation *(Rom. 1:16).* God never promised us tomorrow for it may be too late. Hence, we must respond to the Divine Clarion Call to Intercession. We have a Divine Mandate to pray for the Harvest because the Lord of the Harvest Himself still waits patiently for the Precious Fruit of the Earth *(Jam. 5:7).*

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we magnify Your Holy Name. We humbly ask You to please enable us to proclaim and demonstrate the Good News of the Kingdom, to minister Healing, and to empower people in order to experience Dignity and Fullness of Life. Please help us to see Your people through the Eyes of Jesus and to feel a Deeper Compassion for them in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*DOMINION MANDATE DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

*TUESDAY, JUNE 25, 2024*

*THE PURPOSE OF INTERCESSION IN SPIRITUAL GROWTH*

*BIBLE READING: EPHESIANS 1:16-18; 1TIMOTHY 2:1; LUKE 9:29*

*"My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you." Galatians 4:19(KJV)*

The Power of every Christian believer is determined by the Strength of their personal altar, and the Strength of their altar is determined by the sacrifices offered upon it. Intercession is a Major Sign of a growing Christian, which guarantees our success because whenever we pray, God works. However, when we don't pray, we are the ones who end up working. The Spiritual Exercise that is Intercession brings us into Supreme Fellowship with the Lord God Almighty. For any Church to experience Massive Spiritual Growth, Intercession is needed even more than preaching because the Call to pray is higher than the Call to preach. Even though both of them are so important, it takes Prayer to build up a Strong Spirit man: *"But if the Spirit of Him That raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He That raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit That dwelleth in you"* Rom. 8:11(KJV).

We are always stronger whenever we pray. When we pray often in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit edifies or builds us up *(Jude 1:20).* Intercession drives us to the Place of waiting on the Lord until we move beyond the Veil so that we can exchange our weakness for His Strength *(2Cor. 12:9).* A person of Intercession is a man of God's Secret Place who is invariably a Custodian of God's Secrets: *"Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His Secrets unto His servants the prophets"* (Am. 3:7).

It is Spiritual Growth that brings us into Maturity in Christ because the deeper we go into the Spirit of Christ, the stronger we become in Him. The life of every man is fueled by his spirit, and the Life of Christ is fueled by the Spirit of Christ. There is no Life in Christ without the Spirit of Christ. Hence, if Christ shall be formed in you, then you must become a person of Intercession.

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Extravagant Love towards us. O Lord, please open our eyes that we may have an Understanding of the Place of Intercession in Your Grand Plan through the Help of Your Spirit in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*SATURDAY, JUNE 22, 2024*

*BECOMING THE MAN THAT GOD CAN USE*

*BIBLE READING: ISAIAH 6:8; 1KINGS 6:7; EZEKIEL 22:30; HEBREWS 10:5-7*

*"If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a Vessel unto Honour, sanctified, and meet for the Master's Use, and prepared unto every Good Work." 2Timothy2:21(KJV)*

It's imperative to know that the Lord God Almighty doesn't accept anything or just any person for His Service. This is what we have to really understand about God's Callings upon men. In other words, anytime God has His Eyes fixed on a man, then there is indeed something He has seen about that man *(Ps. 89:20).* In matters of Divine Selection, men always look at the outward appearance, but God always looks at the innermost being of a man just like the case of David *(1Sam. 16:7).* Whenever you study the lives of the men that God used in the Holy Bible for His Glory, you would notice that they were men of great character. He still used them despite their flaws because He is not looking for perfect people. On the contrary, God is looking for willing vessels to be used by Him for His Divine Purpose, which is the Highest Profession there can ever be *(Heb. 5:4).*

It is a High Honour and a Great Privilege to be God's Partner in His Business on Earth which is something worth praying and fasting for. Of a Truth, being a son granted the Privilege to serve the Lord is something to be valued higher than dwelling in the tents of wickedness *(Ps. 84:10).* There are certain qualities that attract God to a man that would be used by Him, and below are a few basic ones:

*(1.) A man of Love and Compassion:* There are many reasons why God looks for this kind of people. He is Compassionate in Nature, and He looks for men who share the same Trait because they know how to communicate or exude Compassion. Their Vision and Purpose is to see everyone in a wholesome shape *(Matt. 9:36).*

*(2.) A man of Obedience:* God never calls rebels. In fact, His Very Nature abhors a proud and arrogant person. He wants His Mission accomplished, and He needs loyal men who are ready to obey His Instructions to the letter without hesitation.

*(3.) A man of Consecration:* God needs people who can go to any length to see what they believe in come through and whatever it will take to see God's Purpose come through. They are willing to pay any price to see the Advancement of God's Kingdom.

*(4.) A man of Sacrifice:* Anytime God sees a man that is willing to lay down his life for a Worthy Cause, He quickly goes after them. This was how He chose David over Saul as king over the Nation of Israel *(1Sam. 17:35-36).* Everything rises and falls on the Degree of Sacrifice one is willing to make. Will you submit yourself as a man God can use? Selah.

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we magnify You for Who You are and for what You do. O Lord, please enable us to be found worthy of You as Vessels unto Honour in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*HOW TO CLOSE THE BACKDOOR*

*BIBLE READING: JOHN 10:1-16; MATTHEW 16: 18-19; EPHESIANS 4:27; JAMES 4:7*

*“Most assuredly, I say to you, He who does not enter the Sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.”John 10:1(NKJV)*

Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself is the Only Door through Whom anyone, including unbelievers, gain admission into the Sheepfold of God. In the Gospel, according to John the Beloved, He refers to satan as a thief who comes *"to steal, to kill, and to destroy..."*(Jn. 10:10). The devil does everything within his power to steal from God and from His children in every way possible. The Lord Jesus gave us a Command as Christian believers to bear fruit and that our fruit should remain. *(Jn. 15:16).* Since He is the One Who is committed to building His Own Church *(Matt. 16:18)* and He is also the Same One Who adds to His Church daily such as should be saved, *(Acts 2:47)* the onus therefore lies upon us as Christian believers to partner with Him in the same way the branches partner with the Vine in order to bear fruit for the latter. In response to our prayer, the Lord of the Harvestfulfilss His Own Part by making available a Rich and Ripe Harvest as well as skilled labourers to work the Field. However, the enemy always sneaks in through the backdoor in order to deceive and turn away the hearts of the sheep from their True Shepherd. A backdoor symbolizes *"an illegal access route or entry into a place either through physical or Spiritual means"* hence, closing these backdoors would definitely enable us retain the Harvest that the Lord gives us daily.

Our Fruit can never remain when our backdoors are left wide open. It is not enough to just win new converts and fill up our Churches. We have a Divine Duty to ensure that they remain, grow, and become equipped to go out and bear fruit for the Lord Jesus. The backdoor of a Church can be said to be wide open whenever there is an absence of Strong Spiritual and physical leadership. Several Churches all over the globe have their front doors open as well as their backdoors. People are streaming into the churches in their droves and leaving the same way they came. This often results in a lack of accountability for the souls that God is bringing into our Churches.

The following are some of the major attributes of any Church with their backdoors open:
*1. Lack of Spiritual Leadership:* This occurs when the Church is lacking a Prayerful Word-filled Compassionate leader. Whenever such a leader is lacking, the enemy comes in with falsehood and deception the same way he did with Eve in the absence of Adam.
*2. Lack of strong physical Leadership:* As important as a Spirit-filled leader is in the Church, there is also a need for a leader who is proficient in putting Systems and Structures in place for the Proper Working of the Church. Any Church with a strong leadership base would always be ahead of one without a leader who knows how to run Systems and Structures.
*3. Lack of Small groups:* The relevance of small groups within the Church can never be overemphasized. Small groups assist better in the Consolidation and Integration of people into the Church. This drastically reduces the chances of people leaving the Church.
*4. Lack of a Proper Follow-up System:* A Proper Follow-up System established within a Church would to a very great extent close the backdoor of the Church. This would make new converts feel cared for and always willing to return for yet another refreshing period in God's Presence *(Acts 15:36).*

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we thank You for giving us Unfettered Access into Your Sheepfold through Christ Jesus Your Son. O Lord, we ask that You enable us to point others to the Fold and to partner with You in ensuring that the Backdoor is firmly closed to the enemy in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*DEPLOYMENT OF THE SUPERNATURAL*

*BIBLE READING: ACTS 8: 5-40; 1CORINTHIANS 1:18; 1CORINTHIANS 2: 2-16*

*"The natural person does not accept the Things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are Spiritually discerned." 1Corinthians 2:14(NKJV)*

Whenever the Holy Scriptures talk about *“the Things of the Spirit of God”* that the natural person cannot accept and is unable to comprehend, the reference is to the actual Content of the Message preached. Apostle Paul invested his Entire Ministry in the preaching of the Glories of Christ Jesus crucified and risen from the dead. He preached a Powerful Combination of Two Major Things which were the Power of God...
*"THE WORD OF THE CROSS is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it IS THE POWER OF GOD"* (1Cor. 1:18). ...And the Wisdom of God: *"Since, IN THE WISDOM OF GOD, the world did not know God through wisdom, IT PLEASED GOD THROUGH THE FOLLY OF WHAT WE PREACH TO SAVE THOSE WHO BELIEVE"* (1Cor. 1:21). It was this Reality that made Paul focus mainly on the Revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Crucifixion *(1Cor. 2:2).* This refers to those things that are Spiritually discerned according to the Holy Bible i.e., that which the natural mind can neither receive nor comprehend *(1Cor. 2:14).*

The Chief and Ultimate Reason for preaching is for the Purpose of bringing people to ENCOUNTER, EXPERIENCE, and EXPRESS the Glory of Christ and all that God is for us in Him. This is an Aim that can never be accomplished by mere natural means. It cannot happen in a preacher or a hearer who is what Paul the Apostle refers to as a “natural person.” Preaching is not a byproduct of natural rhetoric. It is not a means of using persuasive or compelling language to convince the natural mind to simply act differently. Rhetoric or natural oratory proficiency has the capacity to move the natural mind in diverse stunning ways. Entire movements within society can be (and have been) awakened and sustained by such rhetorical skills. Indeed, several so-called "Mega Churches" could be grown numerically by natural rhetorical skill. However, this natural effect on the mind is not a Spiritual Taste for the Beauty and Worth of God. Natural oratory aptitude can never impart the Miracle of SEEING, SAVOURING, and SHOWING FORTH the Glory of Christ Jesus. Hence, Genuine Christian preaching has neither interest nor foundations in merely natural rhetoric.

What preaching does is that it aims to awaken and sustain the Spiritual “Taste Buds” of Christian believers to continually perceive God as being Supremely Beautiful and Satisfying *(Ps. 34:8).* Therefore, the Ultimate and Primary Aim of preaching is not possible apart from the Miraculous Workings of the Holy Spirit. Without His Supernatural Work, neither the preacher nor the people can see, savour, or show the Beauty and Worth of God. The Supernatural guides us beyond the Veil and the limitations of flesh and blood *(Matt. 16:17).* Simply put, preaching cannot achieve its Aims without the Sovereign, Life-Giving and Glory-revealing Power of God working Supernaturally through His Own Spirit *(Rom. 8:11; 2Cor. 4:3-4).*

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we magnify You. O Lord, we long to know You, the Power of Your Resurrection and the Fellowship of Your Sufferings. Please let the Force of the Supernatural fully overwhelm us in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.
