SUB-THEME: THE AMAZING GRACE OF GOD.

TOPIC: GRACE LIBERATES.

TEXT: MATTHEW 11:28-30.

28 “Come to me, all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens, and I will give you rest.

29 Place my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your souls, Psa 45:4 Jer 6:16 [Gal 6:2] [Phi 2:5] [1Jn 5:3]

30 because my yoke is pleasant, and my burden is light.” 1Jn 5:3

TOPIC: GRACE LIBERATES.

MESSAGE:
This text presents a compelling message about grace and liberation that is highly relevant to the church. Jesus is inviting those who are weary and burdened to come to Him for rest, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. This invitation is a profound reminder of the grace that Christ offers to all who are struggling under the weight of sin, guilt, or the pressures of life. In what way are you weary and burdened with the cares of this life? The path to freedom is not by human effort, but by surrendering to Christ's love and mercy (Gal. 5:1). Many are entangled in the sin of po*******hy, ma********on, cyber fraud, gambling, alcoholism, rage, and the like. Are you guilty? Come to Jesus for liberation and find true rest and peace for your soul.

REFLECTION:
Jesus offers freedom.

PRAYER:
Father, I come to you today for liberation. Amen.

*_DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST_*
______________________________
*SUNDAY 18TH JANUARY, 2026*

*TEXT: ROMANS 12:1-3*

1. _Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship._
2. _Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will._
3. _For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you._

*TOPIC: GRACE TRANSFORMS*

The motivation for living a transformed life is rooted in the mercy and grace that God has shown to humanity through Jesus Christ. Paul describes the act of offering oneself as "true and proper worship." This challenges the notion that worship is confined to specific rituals or gatherings. Worship is a lifestyle of obedience and service to God, reflecting the transformative impact of grace on a believer's life. God is calling you today to engage in practices that foster spiritual growth, such as prayer, studying Scripture, and community fellowship, which help renew the mind and align it with God's purposes. Are you living a transformed life? If not, make it a duty today to yield your life to God to be transformed to fulfill His purpose.

*REFLECTION:* _Have you been transformed?_

*PRAYER:* _Father, I need your transformation. Amen._

*Today's Bible Reading Plan:* _Exodus 1-2_

THURSDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER, 2025.

SUB-THEME: KNOWING CHRIST AS A FAMILY.

TOPIC: CONSEQUENCE OF THE FALL II.

TEXT: GENESIS 3:23-24.

23. So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.

24. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

TOPIC: CONSEQUENCE OF THE FALL II.

MESSAGE:
We read that when the first family sinned and were queried, they did not quickly admit and sought for forgiveness. Rather, they were shifting blames. The consequence of their sin was that they were sent out of their dwelling and God's presence. They lost the cordial relationship with God and the access to the Garden and its blessings. As a result of the fall, mankind became vulnerable and slaves to the power and rule of Satan who keeps them in perpetual blindness (read Jn. 14:30; 2 Cor. 4:4). A family where members are ruled and controlled by Satan often live in chaos and disharmony and do not own up for their wrongs or confess and seek reconciliation. It is therefore significant for every family member to know Christ and the power of His resurrection so that they can live victoriously.

REFLECTION:
Who controls your family?

PRAYER:
Thank you Father, for reconciling me through Christ. Amen.

MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH: ACTS 18:8a

THURSDAY 3RD JULY, 2025.

SUB-THEME: PEOPLE WHO LIVED IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST.

TOPIC: MARTHA.

TEXT: JOHN 11:21-27.

21. "Lord," Martha said to Jesus, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died.
22. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask."
23. Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again."
24. Martha answered, "I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."
25. Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;
26. and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
27. "Yes, Lord," she replied, "I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world."

TOPIC: MARTHA.

MESSAGE:
Martha is one of the women who identified with Jesus and ministered to Him frequently. She is often remembered for being too busy to sit and learn at Jesus' feet. But in our reading, she exhibits deep faith in Christ's power over life and His ability to raise her brother from death. In response to Martha, Jesus revealed the truth that renders death powerless upon the believer.
Are you passing through some situations and might be thinking God does not care?
Be rest assured that God does not desert his children in their suffering (see Psalm 34:18). Come to him with confidence, and receive help in time of need.

REFLECTION:
God is aware of your plight.

PRAYER:
I thank you Lord that you care for me even in my down moments. Amen.

MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH: 1 JOHN 5:13.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life

FRIDAY 27TH JUNE, 2025.

SUB-THEME: HINDRANCES TO KNOWING CHRIST.

TOPIC: FEAR.

TEXT: MATTHEW 26:69-75.

69. Now Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him. "You also were with Jesus of Galilee," she said.
70. But he denied it before them all. "I don’t know what you’re talking about," he said.
71. Then he went out to the gateway, where another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, "This fellow was with Jesus of Nazareth."
72. He denied it again, with an oath: "I don’t know the man!"
73. After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said, "Surely you are one of them; your accent gives you away."
74. Then he began to call down curses, and he swore to them, "I don’t know the man!" Immediately a rooster crowed.
75. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: "Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly.

TOPIC: FEAR.

MESSAGE:
Fear is a feeling caused by actual or perceived danger or threat. Today's text presents an emotional moment in the life of Peter. Despite his bold claims of loyalty to Jesus and the willingness to die with him (v. 35), Peter finds himself in a precarious situation. The fear of possible ex*****on, made him deny any association with Jesus - his beloved teacher and friend. This event highlights the frailty of human resolve in the face of adversity.
What will be your response if Boko Haram, bandits, militia, Fulani herdsmen or kidnappers ask for your religious identity?
No doubt, we have our moments of weakness, but we cannot know Christ and experience his power when we let fear dominate us. Put off fear and put on faith.

REFLECTION:
Fear enslaves.

PRAYER:
Lord, deliver me from fear. Amen.

MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH: HEBREWS 12:1.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked ou
