A MESSAGE FROM THE NATIONAL PRESIDENT ON THE OCCASION OF THE 77TH ANNIVERSARY OF AYF NIGERIA
Dearly Beloved Brethren,
It is my sincere pleasure and privilege to address us today as we mark and celebrate the 2024 National Youth day across the length and breadth of the Anglican Church in Nigeria. I thank God for making it possible for us to see yet another 7th of May as youths in this Communion.
I am also Grateful to our Father the Grand Patron The Most Rev'd Henry C. Ndukuba the Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), our National Bishop Coordinator Rt. Revd Prosper Amah, Fathers in God, The founding fathers of this major youth movement of our Church and all those who in their several generations have been effective vessels and Instrument in the hands of our God in directing the affairs of the Fellowship. I pray that Our LORD will continue to bless the works and services of the Fellowship in the name of Christ.
As we mark the Anniversary of both the Youth Day Celebration and the founding of the AYF Nigeria this year, I find it particularly meaningful to make this address commemorating the 77th Fellowship Day.
As we celebrate this unique 77th anniversary of our Fellowship today, we seize this opportunity to pray for our dear Fellowship, the Church and Nation, that God's hand of Grace and Mercy will continue to be upon us.
For 77 years, this fellowship has been a beacon of faith, a training ground for leaders, and a catalyst for positive change in our nation.
As we stand at the threshold of a new era, the clarion call to action echoes even louder. We pray that you keep upholding the fellowship especially in this time and season that we will be having our elections and New executives in the next few weeks.
The road ahead may present challenges, but with unwavering faith in God's Grace and a commitment to the ideals of our Fellowship, we can collectively achieve extraordinary things. May the spirit of fellowship, service, and love for God continue to bind us together as we embark on this exciting new chapter together
Please Don't be passive observers. I plea we become active participants in shaping a better future for ourselves, our Fellowship, Our Church ,our communities and our nation.
We appreciate our Dear Primate for his love and passion in the youth Ministry, his support towards our 2024 National conference GWAGWALADA 2024 is huge and massive, the testimony from the Joshua generation conference is still fresh, the Church of Nigeria football team (CONAC FC) and just recent the Church of Nigeria Movie team, all for the youths of our dear church.
This is a huge testament that our father in God is a raw lover of the Youth Ministry.
Finally, As we plan to journey for the AGM//ELECTION/HANDOVER on the 24th -26th May 2024 at St Mark's Anglican Church Nnewichi, Nnewi . Diocese of Nnewi (Off the Province), we plea that we leave early to avoid late night travels. Also, let’s endeavor to travel in groups and make sure we watch our brother’s back at all times.
By Gods Grace, As your President, we will continue to uphold our values, working relentlessly and tirelessly to protect and preserve one of the prides of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion ( the Anglican Youth Fellowship), a leading, impactful, purposeful fellowship. We are all one and in oneness we are united in the Perfect Man Jesus Christ.
