As people, we were made for greatness and the display of God's glory. Yet we can't accomplish it on our own.
For greatness to be achieved, we need a companion to travel with us, much like iron sharpens iron.
Partners in a marriage should work to make the other person better. It is not a competition; rather, it is about the effort that encourages both the husband and wife to improve as people.
The Bible clearly states that two are preferable to one because they will receive a greater reward for their labor. Two are better than one because they can work more efficiently as a team.
Instead of putting pressure on him or her, support one another and work to make the other successful. In order to reap greater advantages, you need to unleash your partner's potential.

Be a gardner and not a butcher. Be the one who helps to spur your wife on and not the other way around.

The progress of your wife is in your hands as her husband and likewise, your progress is in the hands of your wife.

Never be afraid to nurture that seed to a tree. It's not a competition. Don't get jealous of her progress. Remember, two good heads are always better than one. You are supposed to be partners and not competitors.

As the year winds down and we begin to look forward to the new year (2023) there is more angst in the air. The thought of what tomorrow holds grips our hearts and holds us bound.

Join us this 31st night for our crossover service and let all that anxiety disappear. We will be casting all our cares on the Lord and dropping all our anxieties at His feet.

We know that the new year will be all that God has destined it to be for us.
