because you are His child. He breathed His
life into you. When you receive this love

The scripture talks about, Ephesians 2:4, “…
the great love wherewith God loved us.” It
wasn’t a little love, a conditional love. It’s a
great love. Before you were formed in your
mother’s womb He knew you. He took the
time to plan out all of your days. He knows
your thoughts before you think them, your
words before you speak them. Jesus said
the hairs on your head are all numbered.

The scripture says in 1 Corinthians 16:9, “A wide door of opportunity is open for me, and there are many adversaries.” Anytime you have opportunity—anytime you’re about to move forward and take new ground— there will be opposition, people trying to discourage you, things you don’t understand. The people that reach their destiny aren’t moved by what’s not working out. They know God is in control; He’s directing their steps. They know the setback is really a setup for God to do something greater.

Your circumstances may say, “You’ve reached your limits, you can’t go any further; just settle where you are.” That’s one report. If you believe that, you’ll get stuck. But if you’ll tune that out and believe the report of the Lord, if you’ll believe what you hear in your spirit, then it will override what you hear in the natural. When you get in agreement with God, then you will become what He says about you. You will have what He says you’ll have.

It takes a lot of energy to try to compete and impress. That’s the reason some people are worn out. When you live in a proving mode, it’s like you’re on a treadmill. As soon as you prove to one person that you’re okay, you’ll see somebody else you need to impress. It’s a never-ending cycle. Get off that treadmill. You’re working hard but not going anywhere. Run your race, be your best. You don’t have to impress people.

Ships don’t sink because there’s water all around them, they sink if they let the water get in them. You may have all kinds of negative circumstances around you. Here’s the key: don’t let that get in you. Rule your spirit. You can’t rule the traffic, the weather, a grouchy boss, a neighbor that’s annoying, but you can rule your own spirit.

Be persistent, pursue what God’s put in your heart, but be smart enough to realize that what God wants to be yours will come to you. It won’t be a constant struggle. Yes, you’ll have to work, they’ll be opposition, fight the good fight of faith, but there will be a grace that causes things to fall into place.

There will be a day where God is going to cause you to forget. God is going to make up for it in such an amazing way that you’re not going to remember the pain of the past. You’re not going to wake up thinking about who hurt you, you’re going to wake up thinking about how blessed you are. You’re not going to go through the day feeling discouraged by the loss, with that heaviness, God is going to turn things around to where all you can think about is how grateful you are. You’re going to have a deep satisfaction, a joy that you can’t explain.

The Psalmist said, “The path of the righteous gets brighter and brighter, not less and less.” The good news is your water is about to break. It’s not long until you give birth. God is going to do something that will not just restore you, not just get you back to where you were, He’s going to bless you in such a way that you forget what you’ve been through.
