The Anglican Youth Fellowship (AYF), Orji Archdeaconry, under the Diocese of Owerri (Anglican Communion), warmly invites all youths and members to her Evangelism Service and 19th General Meeting.

This gathering promises to be a time of spiritual revival, fellowship, and impactful discussions as we come together to worship, evangelize, and strengthen our commitment to God’s work while in our youth

St. Stephen's AYF 4–2 St. Barnabas AYF

The much-anticipated encounter between St. Stephen's AYF and St. Barnabas AYF lived up to its billing, but in the end, it was St. Stephen's who delivered a statement performance, cruising to a convincing 4–2 victory over their highly-rated opponents.

Coming into the fixture, St. Barnabas were full of confidence following their opening victory and the belief that their star-studded squad would prove too much for the Mother Church. However, football is decided on the pitch, and St. Stephen's responded in the best possible manner—with a dominant display of attacking football and clinical finishing.

The star of the afternoon was undoubtedly Chidiebere Azuoma (Dinho), who produced a masterclass by scoring all four goals for St. Stephen's. His movement, composure, and finishing ability were on full display as he consistently troubled the St. Barnabas defence. Equally impressive was his brother, Uchechi Azuoma (Chicharito), whose creativity and vision provided the assists that unlocked the opposition's backline time and again. The brotherly partnership proved too hot for St. Barnabas to handle and ultimately became the defining story of the match.

To their credit, St. Barnabas managed to find the back of the net twice through Caleb and Golden. Both goals came as a result of defensive lapses from the St. Stephen's backline, gifting the attackers opportunities they gratefully accepted. Nevertheless, those moments were merely consolation efforts, as St. Barnabas struggled to match the intensity, cohesion, and attacking prowess of their opponents throughout the contest.

St. Stephen's demonstrated why they remain one of the teams to beat in the competition. Their midfield controlled large portions of the game, their attack was ruthless, and their overall team play reflected a side growing in confidence with each outing. More importantly, they answered every pre-match claim and expectation with an emphatic performance on the field.

The result serves as a reminder that football is not won by reputation or predictions but by ex*****on. St. Barnabas arrived with confidence and bold assertions, but St. Stephen's left with the points, the goals, and the bragging rights.
