1. THE GREAT MYSTERY: CHRIST IN YOU
Paul calls it a mystery:
«“Christ in you, the hope of glory.”»
Christianity is not simply:
Christ outside me.
It is:
Christ has come to dwell in me.
This is the radical reality of the New Covenant.
Jesus promised:
«John 14:16–17 (KJV)
“...he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”»
The Holy Spirit makes Christ's presence a living reality in the believer.
Therefore, Christianity is not merely external religion.
It is Christ's life working within the believer.

2. CHRIST IN ME DOES NOT MEAN I BECOME CHRIST
This distinction must remain clear.
We are not the second incarnation.
We do not become divine in essence.
We do not become objects of worship.
We remain creatures and redeemed children of God.
But through union with Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit, Christ's life becomes the source and pattern of our new life.
Paul says:

The Christian life is therefore:

Before Christ can be effectively expressed through you, Christ must first be increasingly established within you.
The order matters:

“...until Christ be formed in you.”»
The objective is not simply to have a Christian label.
The objective is Christ formed in the believer.

Your deepest identity is no longer your past.

But Christ changes the centre.

Therefore, Christ in you should increasingly produce:

Christlike people do not become incapable of being hurt.
They become increasingly capable of responding to hurt in a Christlike manner.

Christ in me changes:
revenge into forgiveness,
bitterness into healing,
hatred into prayer,

Grace does not mean:

The branch does not produce fruit independently.

Christ through me means:

Christ.
And when Christ is truly alive within me, my generation should increasingly encounter His love, His truth, His character, His wisdom, His compassion and His Gospel through me.
