Fill our hearts with peace, our minds with wisdom, and our spirits with joy. May this day of rest bring us closer to You and to each other.

Grant us the strength to rejuvenate our bodies and souls, and may Your presence be felt in our lives. In Your Holy Name, we pray.

The Sabbath is a set-apart gift from our Father.

Yahshua said in Mark 2:27, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath."

This means that Sabbath wasn’t given as a burden, it was a gift, a day created for our benefit and renewal.

The Hebrew word for Sabbath means to 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 or 𝗰𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲. It is a sacred pause, a time set apart from the noise of the world. In Deuteronomy 5:12, we are commanded to “observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as YHWH your God commanded you.”
The word holy in Hebrew means set-apart. So how do we keep it set apart?

1. 𝗪𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁.
Deuteronomy 5:14 makes it clear, this rest is not just for us, but also for our sons and daughters, servants, animals, and even the sojourner within our gates. Sabbath rest is for all mankind, not only for Israel by blood, but for all who align with YHWH's covenant.

2. 𝗪𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝘂𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴.
In Nehemiah 10:32, the people pledged not to buy or sell on the Sabbath. This helps us disconnect from worldly commerce and redirect our focus to YHWH.

3. 𝗪𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱.
Yahshua reminds us in Matthew 12:12, “It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” Whether it’s helping someone in need, visiting the sick, or spending quality time in fellowship, acts of kindness reflect the heart of Sabbath.

So how do we honor the Sabbath? We rest. We refrain from worldly gain.
We do good.

Let us not treat it as common, let us treat it as the beautiful, set-apart day that it is. A sign between us and our Creator. We are grateful for this special time. I love you all. 😍

Happy Shabbat Preparation To All Covenant Faithful,
To my family and friends who sanctify the seventh day and call it a delight. SHABBAT SHALOM!

If the Sabbath foreshadows things to come and the Sabbath is the substance of Messiah, it stands to reason that the Sabbath pertains to all the disciples of Yeshua. In accordance with Jewish tradition, we initiate and welcome the Sabbath on Friday night with a cup of wine and the breaking of bread, in a manner reminiscent of the table rituals of Passover. Deuteronomy assigns the Sabbath as a remembrance of the exodus from Egypt.' In its own small way,
every Sabbath is like a little Passover feast, an echo of that moment when Yeshua told us to take the cup and bread in remembrance of Him. In that respect, every meal of the Sabbath can be a meal of remembrance dedicated to the Messiah.
Yeshua is our blessing and holiness, our deep peace, and our sure salvation (Lev 24 : 5-8). He is our new creation, our source of grace and our great freedom. He brings the kingdom the future Sabbath rest of all creation. He is our Sabbath rest; that's why we rest on the Sabbath in Him.
