Many people delay serving God because they believe they are not ready.
“I need to know more.”
“I need to become better.”
“I've made too many mistakes.”
“God can't use someone like me.”
But Scripture repeatedly shows us that God works through imperfect people who surrender themselves to Him. Peter was impulsive. Moses struggled with his confidence. David made serious mistakes. Paul had a terrible past before encountering Christ.
Yet God used them.Why?
Because God's work has never depended on human perfection. It depends on His grace and our willingness to obey. The danger is waiting until you feel completely ready. You may never feel ready.
There will always be something you don't know.
There will always be an area where you need to grow.
There will always be another weakness God is working on.
But don't confuse being unfinished with being unusable. God can use you while He is still developing you.The important question is not:
“Am I perfect?”
The better question is:
“Am I surrendered?”
Give God your gifts.
Give Him your time.
Give Him your weaknesses.
Give Him your plans.
Give Him your future.
When you place what you have in His hands, He can use it for His glory.
“Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” (Romans 12:1)
Don't wait until you become the person you think God needs. Surrender the person you are today, and allow Him to transform you.
