SCRIPTURE: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Word of God is the Supplier of faith for the child of God.

The Word of God is the Word of faith (Romans 10:8). The Word is the supplier of faith for the child of God. The Word of God is an amplifier of faith.

Revelation from the Word is what feeds conviction. Revelation amplifies conviction. The journey of the child of God is tied to his faith. This is why the Bible says that the just shall live by his faith (Habakkuk 2:4).

And if you must live by faith, it takes the Word of God, because the Word is what sustains your faith. The Word of God fuels your faith, and you live by faith.

This is the equation: The Word sustains faith, and faith sustains life; that means your life is at the mercy of the Word. One word or verse of the Scripture can make the difference between living long and dying young.
If the just shall live by his faith; it means that the just can die without his faith. One scriptural verse can make the difference between living a quality life and existence in obscurity.

Beloved, it is better to forget eating physical food than to forget reading the Bible. I don’t know about you, but as for me, food does not easily pass through my mouth in a day until I have opened and read the Bible.

At the beginning of the day, if you can comfortably put food in your mouth while you have not yet put the Word in your spirit, and you feel normal about it, something is wrong with you.

Beloved, make it a habit to feed on the Word before eating your physical food.

Remember this: The Word of God is the supplier of the faith for the child of God.

2. Let the Word construct your faith.

SCRIPTURE: Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me. Psalm 119:175

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anytime death threatens your life, engage the weapon of praise to deal with it.

The essence of our existence is to worship God. A major reason God allows our soul to live is so we can praise Him.

Our protection and preservation are anchored on our praise and worship to God. If you stop praising God, you are asking Him to stop protecting you.

You need to come to a point like the Psalmist who said, “O Lord, if You will give me life, I will give you praise. It is a deal. Let my soul live and it shall praise Thee.”(Psalm 119:175, Paraphrased).

Hezekiah received a prophecy from the Prophet Isaiah that he should set his house in order and get ready to die. The Scripture says Hezekiah lifted up his eyes and said, “Oh God, the grave cannot praise You. Only the living will praise You. Why are my days being cut off?” (Isaiah 38:18-22).

Then God told Isaiah, “Turn back and tell Hezekiah that fifteen more years are added to his life on earth; he just told me now that if he is kept alive, he would praise Me.”

God preserved Hezekiah because Hezekiah said that if his soul should live, it would praise God.

Beloved, praise is a key to longevity. Anytime death threatens your life, engage the weapon of praise to deal with it. Anytime you dream of seeing yourself dead, cancel it with praise to Jehovah. If you will praise God, He will let your soul live.

When you consistently engage in praise, you will come to a point where you can only hear of what is killing others but it can never come near you. Praise guarantees your safety and preservation on earth.

Remember this: Anytime death threatens your life, engage the weapon of praise to deal with it.

SCRIPTURE: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. Matthew 8:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You must believe that Christ’s Sacrifice and Death on the Cross of Calvary is a basis of your liberty and health.

I heard a story some time ago. There was a judge who acted as judge over the case of his friend. In delivering the judgment, he found his friend culpable, and sentenced him for committing the offence.

The friend thought he (the judge) was going to be lenient because of their friendship, but that was not to be. The judge meted out the full weight of the law on his friend.

However, when he came down from the judgment seat, he told his friend, “Though I sentenced you, I will pay the price for you because we are friends. Let me bear the sentence.”

You see, this was exactly what Christ did for us. We were also condemned sinners left to bear the consequences of our sins, which are curses, spells, sicknesses, afflictions, death, etc. but Jesus came and took them all away.

Beloved, this revelation is key to our healing.

However, many people do not know what Jesus did for us on the Cross of Calvary. They are carrying sicknesses, afflictions, curses, spells, evil patterns, etc. that Jesus had already dealt with, and taken away on the Cross.

Matthew 8:17 says,
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Beloved, if you are carrying any negative thing that Jesus had already carried on the Cross of Calvary, today, it is uprooted out of your life in Jesus’ Name.

But you must believe that Christ’s Sacrifice and Death on the Cross of Calvary is a basis of your liberty and health.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Thank God for the sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary.
2. Refuse to allow in your life the sin and sickness that Jesus took away for your sake.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, on the Cross of Calvary. I reject sin and sickness in my life. I ask that You cleanse me from every sin and heal me from every sickness by the Blood of Jesus, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
