*TOPIC: LIGHT – A KEY TO DIRECTION*

*Monday, 26 April 2021.*

The appearance of light is the disappearance of confusion and the appearance of clarity and direction.

*SCRIPTURE:* Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105.

*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:* Light brings direction for faith action.

In the physical, light is crucial to direction. The appearance of light is the disappearance of confusion and the appearance of clarity and direction.

As it is in the physical, so it is in the spiritual. Light brings direction for faith action. The light of Scripture opens up to you the direction for faith action. When light comes, you know the steps to take and the moves to make that would give birth to the results you seek.

Psalms 119:105 says, Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. This is direction!

Peter told Jesus: “I have toiled all night but I caught nothing. With this light now, I will launch out the net.” (Luke 5:5, paraphrased).

You know, revelation determines conviction, conviction determines action, and action determines manifestation. Now, the light comes as revelation and imparts you with conviction; the conviction gives you direction, the direction triggers the relevant action that would produce the desired outcome.

With light, you know what to do, and once you know what to do, you leave where you are. When you take the right steps, you connect the right power because action is the switch of power.

Beloved, my counsel is, seek for the relevant light that will shift you to the next level in faith, and in life and destiny.

Remember this: *Light brings direction for faith action.*

Introduction

Do you ever wonder how the earth came to be? Why is it that you exist? Is there a Creator, or was the origin of life an accident? The Bible offers clear answers to these questions.

All God had to do was speak

The first verse of the Bible reveals that God is the Creator of everything: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God only needed to speak to create light, the sun, moon and stars, trees and vegetation, birds, fish and wild animals.

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

Genesis 1:3-5

This is how God created everything: by speaking his word. He did not need anything else at all!

God created man in his image

God created everything in six days. On the sixth day, he decided to create man. Listen to what the Bible says:

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

Genesis 1:26-28

*CAPACITY TO LOVE*

*Text: “And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” Rom 5:5 NIV*

We’ve been taking our time to look at the capacity of a believer. When we gave our lives to Christ and received the Holy Spirit so many things took place within us. One of these is that the nature of God is imparted into our recreated human spirit. We therefore have within us the capacity of God to function exactly like God.

The love of God is poured into our hearts. Our hearts therefore becomes the reservoir of God’s love. We can always make withdrawals from there each time there is a need for it.
If we don’t recognise this we’ll spend most of our time in life living in unforgiveness and bitterness. There are people and situations that will make you angry and mad every day. That is why we must allow this capacity within us to find expression.

Capacity to love means the following:

*1. No matter what anyone did to me or said about me will not dampen my heart or affect my disposition towards them.*

*2. Somebody else stupidity will not make me become bitter and stupid also.*

*3. No matter what happens I have a fixed response. My life will not be controlled externally but internally.*

*4. I am no longer a slave to human opinion and hatred. It will no longer bother me.*

*5. I have the capacity to relate with people on the highest level and be a positive influence in their lives. I literally become a change agent wherever I am found, because love flows from me.*

*CONFESSION:*
My heart is filled with love. I respond in love in every relationship I encounter. Others find God in my eyes and in my touch.

*Every successful person has a painful story, so never give up. A school bell that sounds as a disturbance at 8:am also sounds interesting at 2:pm... is just a matter of time...so remain undaunted. Not everyone walking fast has an appointment*.

*If a rose smells better than tomatoes, It doesn't mean the rose can make a better stew. Don't try to compare yourself to others. You also have your own strength, look for it and build on it. All animals that exist, were in Noah's ark. A snail is one of those animals. If God could wait long enough for snails to enter Noah's ark; His door of grace won't close till you reach your expected position in life. Never look down on yourself, keep looking up. Remember that Broken crayons still color. Keep on pushing, you never can tell how close you are to your goal.*
