There is a generational gap in most of our mainline churches and even our society. The Elders are on their own while the youths are playing a different drum. Unless there is a replacement generation we are doomed. We must find ways to make the gospel attractive without distorting the content. It was Prophet Isaiah that cried out that, if there is not replacement generation (remnant) we will be like S***m and Gomorrah.
A Church that abhors the use of technology in her worship will not survive for too long. Generation X is here with us and the Church must rise up to that challenge.
A society that abhor the use of technology or that does not grow in technology will remain beggarly. Technology is one of the engines of prosperity and we must embrace it.
How many Universities in Nigeria have Android, Python and more recent languages as part of their curriculum in their computer science, computer engineering or software engineering departments.
A Society or Church that has no short/long plan for her youth population is planning her own down fall. Solomon said, the glory of the youth is in their strength", why then do you want to cage this strength inside them?
Who will be the Leaders of the Church tomorrow? Who will be the Elders of our communities and nation 20years to come?
Jesus handed over to the Apostles he trained? They in-turn handed over to those they trained and the trend follows till now.
There is a need for a Replacement Generation, people who will be the bearers of the agenda of God in the academic world, in business and in every profession.
