Topic: The fire on your altar must not go out .
Text: Leviticus 6:12
1. The fire represents God’s presence
The fire on the altar symbolized God’s presence among His people. When the fire is burning, it shows an active and living relationship with God.
2. The fire must be kept burning continually
God instructed that the fire should never go out. This teaches us that our prayer life and devotion must be constant, not occasional.
3. The fire requires daily attention
The priests tended the fire every day. In the same way, our spiritual lives require daily prayer, study of the Word, and obedience.
4. The fire goes out through neglect
The fire did not go out by accident but by neglect. When prayer is neglected and devotion becomes routine, spiritual fire fades.
5. It is our responsibility to keep the fire burning
God provided the fire, but the priests were responsible for maintaining it. Likewise, we must intentionally guard and feed our spiritual fire.
6. A burning altar brings spiritual strength
When the fire remains, there is power, sensitivity to God, and spiritual growth. Without fire, spiritual life becomes
