_*"Greater love hath no man than this; that a man lay down his life for his friends."*_
```JOHN 15:13```
________________________________________
Jesus modelled and preached this kind of life. *A life of sacrificial love,* a life in which a person lives for the benefit of not just himself but also his neighbour. A life in which we put Him first and others second, nonetheless, *we are expected to love and cherish one another as we do to ourselves.*
Oh! it's even much more wonderful that though we are expected to turn our love first to Jesus, He does not take it for His personal advantage but uses it as an excuse to spread his love abroad in our hearts by His Spirit (Romans 5:5).
His love, one that brings peace, redemption. One so perfect, yet it stems from pain and brokenness.
This is the type of love He urges the parents to have towards their children, husbands to their wives, in fact, He calls them to love their wives as He Christ has loved the Church even to the laying down of His life, and to the wife, to live a life of submission which the husband perceives as love. (Ephesians 5:22-29)
We must learn to open our hearts to Walk In Love.
Three things the scriptures says will never fail
FAITH, HOPE & LOVE,
of which LOVE is the greatest.
Love builds, forgives, heals, patient, kind, hates evil, it hopes, never reviles, is content, in fact, love is everything good.
For this very reason Christ Died.
