Anchor texts: Genesis 1:1-4; John 1:1-5

We were made to understand yesterday that the earth was without form and void, and there was darkness hovering upon the face of the deep until light appeared.
Light is critical for dominion in life, especially in this world of darkness and wickedness (Isa. 60:2)
The power of light over darkness is automatic and unquestionable. Whenever you lack light, you lose control.
Everything is out of place where light is not in place(Gen 1:2).
The moment you access light, you gain command; when you lack light, you lose command
The difference between the destiny God plans for you and your today is light
The difference between a young student of law and a professor is light
If you are not happy with the level you are currently at, then gain more light

HOW TO ACCESS THIS LIGHT
1. The Word of God GENESIS 1:3; John 1:1-5
The Word of God is a Transmitter of Light. One word from God can erase every form of darkness in your life. It can destroy the darkness of sin, infirmity, and disease.
Engaging the Word of God is to embrace the light of liberation.

2. The Presence of God.
The presence of God is a transmitter of light.
The presence of God is the source of light.
Psalm 36:9 says, For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

The presence of God carries light, and the purpose of His presence is to dispel the darkness of sin, sickness, failure, curses, poverty, etc.
Beloved Family, whenever you spend time in God’s presence through prayer and communion with Him, you are in touch with light.

This is my counsel:
Make up your mind to expel every form of darkness in your life by the light of God’s Word and the light of His presence.

Don't forget this today: One word from God can erase every form of darkness in your life.

KJV:In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

KJV:And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

KJV:And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

KJV:And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

*Message*
We were made to understand from our anchor text that the earth was without form and void and there was darkness hovering upon the face of the deep until light appeared.
This shows that in the absence of light, anything can dominate you without your permission or consent.

What are the powers of Light?
1. Light brings illumination. Where there's light, there's vision and revelation.
2. Light brings direction. With light, you cannot be stranded or confused.
3. Light eliminates darkness. Darkness can represent sickness, backwardness, delay, retrogression or anything that is not of God in your life. But with light, they can be eliminated.
4. Light brings dominion as seen in John 1:5. When there is light, you dominate over every force of darkness because darkness cannot be able to comprehend the light.

*Counsel*
The only way to get this light is through the word of God that brought it in verse 3 of our text.
And this Word of God is Jesus Christ.

If you are tired of your situation and all, come to Jesus and he will shine light into it that darkness will not be able to comprehend.

*Prayer*
Father, I ask that you shine your light through your word, which is Jesus Christ, into my life and situation to eliminate darkness and give directions to my path today, in iJesus'us' name.

*Declaration*
It's a new day for you in Jesus' name, as you step out today, you will come back with testimonies in the name of Jesus.
