THE PRICE OF NEW SEASON

WISE WHISPERS
EVERYONE LOVES A NEW SEASON. NOBODY LOVES WHAT IT COSTS.

1KINGS 17:5-25

THE DEVOTION
A new season is God's promise of fresh growth, open doors, and greater glory. But before the new comes, something must be paid.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert”
ISAIAH 43:19
But even God’s new thing has a path to walk through.

*1. THE PRICE OF LETTING GO OF THE OLD*
You can’t enter new with old baggage.
Lot’s wife looked back at what God was already leaving behind *GENESIS 19:26*. Israel almost missed Canaan because they craved Egypt’s garlic and onions
NUMBERS 11:5-6
Paul understood the price: “Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead” *PHILIPPIANS 3:13-14*
The new season will cost you comfort zones, old mindsets, and sometimes old relationships.

*2. THE PRICE OF PRUNING AND OBEDIENCE*
God doesn’t just add in a new season. He prunes.
“Every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit”
JOHN 15:2
Pruning feels like cutting, but it’s really preparation for more. Abraham paid this price when God asked for Isaac
GENESIS 22:10-12. His obedience secured the next season of covenant abundance.
The price may be obedience that doesn’t make sense, discipline in prayer
MATTHEW 6:33, or sacrifice *ROMANS 12:1*.

*3. THE PRICE OF PRESSING IN FAITH*
New seasons don’t fall into your lap. They are taken by faith.
“The kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force” *MATTHEW 11:12*

THE DEVOTION:
Your new season is not random.
It’s not late. It’s not by luck.
*It is by divine reason.*

God doesn’t move seasons without purpose. Every shift He brings has His fingerprints on it.

1. BY DIVINE TIMING
_“To everything there is a season... a time to plant and a time to harvest”_ ECCLESIASTES 3:1-2
Joseph waited 13 years in the pit and prison, but when God’s time came, he was moved from prisoner to prime minister in one day *GENESIS 41:14, 41*.
God sees the full picture. He will not make you wait one day longer than necessary, and He will not rush you one day before you’re ready.

2. BY DIVINE PURPOSE
_“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose”_
ROMANS 8:28
Your new season exists to reveal God’s glory *JOHN 11:4*, to position you for impact
ESTHER 4:14, and to fulfill what He wrote about you *PSALM 139:16*.
It’s not just about comfort. It’s about assignment. God is moving you so His plan can move through you.

3. BY DIVINE POWER
_“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?”_ *ISAIAH 43:19*
_“Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts”_ *ZACHARIAH 4:6*
You didn’t force this door open. God did.
When God says “new season,” He also gives the grace to walk in it. The same God who called you will equip you *PHILIPPIANS 1:6*.

Every new season has a language. And if we don’t learn to speak it, we’ll miss what God is doing.

HERE ARE 3 PHRASES THAT MARK THE LANGUAGE OF A NEW SEASON:

1. THE LANGUAGE OF FAITH, NOT FEAR
New seasons feel uncertain. God calls you to speak trust over the unknown.
*2 CORINTHIANS 5:7* — _"For we live by faith, not by sight."_
Abraham left his father’s house without a map, but he spoke, “God will provide.” Stop saying “What if it fails?” Start saying “God is with me.”

2. THE LANGUAGE OF THANKSGIVING, NOT COMPLAINING*
Complaint keeps you circling the wilderness. Gratitude ushers you into the promise.
*1 THESSALONIANS 5:18* "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."_
The Israelites complained and delayed their entry. David praised in the cave and God made him king. What you thank God for, He multiplies.

3. THE LANGUAGE OF AGREEMENT WITH GOD
A new season begins when your words line up with God’s Word.
*AMOS 3:3* — _"Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?"_
*MARK 11:23* _"Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt... it will be done for him."_
Speak what God says about you: “I am chosen. I am anointed. This door is opening.”

THE DEVOTION
God has declared a new season over your life.
And because He started it, *no one can stop it*.

The enemy will try. People may doubt. Doors may look closed.
But what God has ordained is *unstoppable*.

1. IT’S GOD-ORDAINED
_“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope”_
JEREMIAH 29:11
Your new season didn’t start with man. It started in the heart of God.
When God is the author, the devil cannot be the editor. _“NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER ”_ *Isaiah 54:17*

2. IT’S GOD-EMPOWERED
_“Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts”_ *ZACHARIAH 4:6*
You won’t need to fight with your own strength. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is empowering you *ROMANS 8:11*.
Obstacles may rise, but they will bow. _“Every valley shall be lifted up... and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed”_ *ISAIAH 40:4-5*

3. IT’S GOD-PROTECTED
_“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent”_ *EXODUS 14:14*

*3 TRUTHS TO HOLD ONTO IN A NEW SEASON :*

*1. GOD IS DOING SOMETHING NEW*
