CHRISTIANITY – A CALL TO A WALK OF FAITH 1

In the last post we defined faith and highlighted a few things about faith – the gain of faith, evidence of faith, etc. Now, we proceed with the foundational gain of faith which is salvation
Gains of Faith - Salvation
Remember, God has made provision for the salvation of the entire race of Adam through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For it is written:
“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Rom.5:6-8

“For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” 1 Cor.15:21-22.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Although provision is made for the salvation of all men, experiencing salvation will require each man believing in, and calling upon Jesus.
“For the scripture said, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed…For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Rom.10:11-13

However, as cheap, affordable and available salvation is, there is a chain of reactions that will make it a possession of any man.
“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach except they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things.’ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah saith, Lord who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” Rom.10:14-17
It is obvious from this passage that it is not sufficient for God to make salvation available through the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ. It is also a must for God to raise beautiful feet who go to the mountains, hills, valleys, towns, villages, cities and nations to preach the gospel of Christ so faith can be born in every man to trigger them to call upon Jesus for their salvation.
The good news is God has sent everyone who has benefited from the gift of salvation to be a preacher (proclaimer) of the same to others. That is why the scripture said:
“…. the word is high thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart, that is the word of faith which we preach; that if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made into salvation.” Rom.10:8-10
Peter took up this responsibility of proclaiming the gospel of Christ in Acts 2:1-47 on the day of Pentecost. His unveiling the revelation of God’s salvation plan, implementation and actualization, birthed faith in the hearts of his audience. There was an alteration (change) in the core of their person for the scripture said in verse 37:
“Now when they heard this, they were picked in their heart, and said unto peter and to the rest of the apostles, men and brethren, what shall we do?”
That they were picked in their heart connotes the spiritual virtue called faith was born. A new them emerged. A change took place in their mentality, philosophy, attitude and behaviour towards Christ and towards the gospel of salvation. And their response by reason of faith that was born was: “What shall we do?” Then Peter said unto them:
“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.” Acts.2:38, 40-41
You will notice that with the preaching of the gospel of Christ, faith was born in them. A new them emerged as they called upon the name of Jesus. And faith – the offspring of the revelation knowledge of God’s word – made salvation their gain that same moment.
Similar experience was recorded in Acts.8:1, 4-7,14-16 when Philip preached the gospel of Christ to the inhabitants of the city of Samaria. As he, through his preaching, unveiled the essence of Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection, the people gave heed to his message. Faith was born in them and not only were they saved but there was also great joy in the city. Even Simon the sorcerer was not left behind. He was equally saved and delivered from sorcery having believed the gospel of Christ.
The same was true of the Ethiopian eu**ch. Having had his understanding enlightened on the portion of scripture he was reading as he returned from worship in Jerusalem. He also believed, called on the name of the Lord Jesus, and was baptized in the name of the Lord. Acts.8:26-39. See also the experience of the Jailer with his family in Acts.16:25-34. Having witnessed the power of Jesus to deliver miraculously, he and his family believed in Jesus and were saved.
Luke the physician also recorded the story of a woman who he ascertained to be a sinner in Luke 7:36-50 She demonstrated her faith as she washed Jesus’ feet with her tears, wiped them with her hairs, and kissed them. Though the Pharisees despised her action but Jesus declared unto her:
“Thy sins are forgiven; thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace” verses 48 and 50.
In conclusion, the initial response to the call of God to every man to walk with Him by faith is to believe in Jesus for salvation. He is not yet a Christian whosoever has not had a different perspective concerning Christ’s suffering and resurrection that caused him or her to believe in his/her heart that God raised Him from the dead and call on Him for salvation. If you fall into that category, I present you with the gospel of Christ. Be ye reconciled to God! 2 Cor.5:20. Let faith be born in you as you call upon the Lord and have the dividend of salvation accrued unto you. Be ye converted friend! You must turn away from your sin. That is repentance! You must turn to God through Christ by faith. That is saving faith! Then and only then can the spiritual virtue of faith that is born in you on account of your revelation knowledge of God’s salvation plan, implementation and actualization, result into your salvation. Pray to God! Call on Him and be saved.
If you, reading this magazine is already a believer, I congratulate you because that is the greatest achievement any man can make in this world. However, I challenge you not to break the chain of reaction that result into birthing saving faith in others. You have been sent to preach the gospel! Yours are beautiful feet upon the mountain! Go, therefore, tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere that salvation is available to all in Christ Jesus; and accessible by faith in the heart and a confession from the mouth. If you are not generous with this message in your circle of influence, you are a wicked believer; an unprofitable servant at that. Repent! Take responsibility! Preach the gospel in season and out of season so faith can be born in many for the salvation of their souls. Jesus is Lord!

CHRISTIANITY – A CALL TO A WALK OF FAITH 1

We provided some background to the reality of man being a spirit, soul and body entity. This necessitates the need for man to explore the invisible realm by his spirit – the invisible part of him, the same way his body (the visible part of him) explores the visible realm. We emphasized man requires faith to explore his invisible realm. Now:
What is Faith?
The simplest but highly coded definition of faith is seen in Heb.11:1
“Now faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen.”
In a simplified form:
Faith is a spiritual virtue that is born by the revelation of God (His Person, His attributes, His will, His precepts, His principles, His promises, His laws) as contained in His word; and it is defined by a change in a man’s perceptive, mentality, personality, attitude, and behaviour resulting into salvation, accurate christian walk, conversion of challenges to testimonies and commanding of exploits.
Certain truths are brought to light about faith in this simple and comprehensive definition.
Faith is a spiritual virtue. By this we mean faith is a spiritual attribute. It is an invisible force of the spirit. It is a spiritual driving force.
The mother of faith is the revelation knowledge of God in all its numerous assortments in terms of His characteristics/attributes, will, principles, commandments, precepts, promises, etc. as revealed and documented on the pages of the Bible.
The identity of faith is a changed man. A man that has been re-formed. A man that has been ‘altered’ into the ideal image of God. Whenever faith is born in any man, the identity of that man changes to reflect the reality of his (new) spiritual personality in keeping with God’s ideal image that bears testimony to the revelation of God’s word entrenched in the man’s spirit.
The gains of faith include:
• salvation – being translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God’s dear Son Col.1:13;
• accurate christian walk characterized by giving expression to the new man (person) which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness Eph.4:24;
• conversion of challenges to testimonies. A case in point was Sarah, who by faith, judged God who had promised faithful and did not just receive strength to conceive but was also delivered of a male child after she had long passed the age of menopause Heb.11:11-12, Rom.4:17-21;
• making a commander of exploits out of the man of faith (believer) Eph.6:16, Mark 16:16-20.
Every believer in Christ has got a measure of faith as a component of the core of his spirit man.
“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” Rom.12:3

“Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:” 2 Pet.1:1
That is, when we believed the gospel of Christ not only did this result in our salvation, it also left in us a deposit of the measure of faith. This spiritual virtue (attribute) called faith has become a part of the elements of our spirit man. Subsequently, recurrent exposure to the gospel of Christ in its numerous shades and colours causes our understanding to be fruitful in the revelation knowledge of God culminating in growth in faith. This is revealing to us that there are boosters of faith that promote the growth of faith in us. And these include fresh revelation of God’s word (rhema) or proceeding word of God that speak specifically to the issue at hand, Spirit inspired or energized prayer, and testimonies that result from exercise of faith at every point of need.
In addition, we must recognize that faith has evidence. These are the giveaway signs that faith has come alive in the heart (spirit) of a man. The evidence of faith bears testimony to the activation of faith in a man. If faith has been substantiated within a man’s heart, it becomes evident in confession of God’s word; giving glory to God; godly behaviour or fruit of the spirit; worship; authority and exercise of the anointing.
We trust God to be able to look at these with some depress of details subsequently.

Concening False Teachers and Prophets
A false teacher is NOT worthy of your time & support. 2 Cor.6:14-18, Titus 3:10-11
Once you're aided (by the Holy Spirit and proper schooling in the doctrine of righteousness) to discern one, don't waste your time listening to him or giving to support his ministry.
A false teacher is one that:
(1) perverses the gospel of the grace of Christ. Gal.1:6-9
(2) causes divisions and offences with his teaching contrary to the doctrine set forth by the apostles and prophets that has Jesus Christ as its chief cornerstone. Rom.16:17-18, Eph.2:20
(3) whose teaching is not in alignment with the doctrine that is according to godliness or that promotes godly(righteous) living 1Tim.6:1-7
(4) comes to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly is a ravening wolf making the gate and the way of heaven narrower or wider(broader) than the scriptures make it. Mat.7:13-21
Friends, be discerning!
We see the TRUTH conquers all in Jesus name.

CHRISTIANITY – A CALL TO A WALK OF FAITH 1

Background

There are two dimensions to the existence of man: physical and spiritual or visible and invisible. The invisible component of man comprises of the spirit and/or soul while the visible component is made up of the body - flesh and bone. The invisible component is designed to relate with the invisible God. That is, it is so ordained that the spirit of man should interact and commune with God who Himself is a Spirit – the Father of spirits at that.
It is clear how the visible component of man blessed with five physical senses can related with, and appreciate his environment. What is hidden and perhaps difficult to appreciate is how man via his invisible component is ordained to interact and relate with the invisible God. However, the truth still remains that there is a craving within the core of every man’s being for God – the only authentic invisible Being who alone deserves such a craving. For this reason, it is often said there is a void in every man which only God can fill. When this void is not occupied by the only true God, the impostor spirits who parade themselves as God take advantage of such. To this end there are numerous religions in our world today. Such religions are built around and administered by impostor spirits who fill the very void meant for the God of heaven to occupy in the heart of every man.
Faith is a major tool for relating with a spirit. Every man who belongs to one religion or the other is relating to a spirit by faith in one form or another. Let me say emphatically that all of such faiths are fake except that which is channelled to the God of heaven – the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by this genuine faith that the spirit of a man in Christ relates with (the Spirit of) God. The implication of this is, Christianity is a call to a walk of faith with the true and authentic God. This is why, in Heb.6:1-2, faith towards God is one of the foundations that defined or are embedded i

THE COVENANT AND LIGHT GOSPEL MISSION
(Proclaiming Christ, Presenting Every Man Perfect in Christ Jesus Col.1:27-28)

THE MANDATE
“I the Lord have called you in righteousness; I will hold your hands and will keep you; and give you as a COVENANT to the people and as a LIGHT to the gentiles; to open blind eyes, to bring prisoners out of the prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in the darkness.” Isaiah 42:6-7

Vision Statement

To see a world filled with God’s kingdom functionaries (foot soldiers) who are getting ready for the soon coming King; living for the pleasure of God and serving the purpose of God as they extend the frontiers of God’s kingdom in everything they do and wherever they are found, all to the glory of God, to the shame of the devil and to the detriment of the kingdom of darkness.

Mission Statement

To proclaim the gospel of Christ’s Kingdom in the spirit and power of Elijah so as to nurture and equip every man as God’s kingdom functionary – perfect, accurate, efficient and effective in and through Christ Jesus, and ultimately to get a people ready for the soon coming King.

Concerning the Grace of our Lord

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is a product of the love of God and it culminates into the fellowship of the Holy Ghost. 2Cor.13:14

It forms the foundation for salvation. Eph.2:8-10

And serves as the ability for righteous living as it woos us to will (desire) and to do (actually carry out) the good pleasure of the Lord. Phil.2:13.

It is a good tutor and the content of its major curriculum is to say no to ungodliness and worldly lusts but live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world as we await the coming of Christ. Titus 2:12-14.

It is never a licence to sin but an enabler for righteous living. Rom.5:19-6:22

Those who preach or teach otherwise are servants of the devil raising disciples for the lake of fire.

Run away from them in Jesus name!

Restoration Time – an Invitation to the King’s Banquet
In the world:
• where there is confusion of Christian’s values and virtues;
• where defection from the truth (apostasy) and lawlessness are the order of the day;
• where the supposed believers and pulpit ministers are confusing the world regarding what Christianity actually is as they misrepresent Christ in everything and everywhere:
• where many people are divided between two opinions as to whether to fellowship with righteousness or unrighteousness, to have communion with light or with darkness, to have concord (agreement) with Christ or Belial, or to company with a believer or an infidel; the list is endless.
The need is enormous for the sons of order to emerge (as Elijah showed up in Israel in the days of king Ahab and Jezebel his manipulative wife) to restore all things as they:
• give the Lord Jesus, the Head of the Church, proper place in His church;
• seek God’s guidance first for everything they want to do;
• demonstrate the power of God;
• rid the church of Christ of false prophets and false teachers;
• challenge people who live a compromising life to make a choice between God and mammon – the god of money which largely is the Baal of our days;
• cut off every manifestation of the flesh, worldliness and ungodliness;
• champion and crusade a revival – a re-awakening to God, the spiritual realm of light and righteousness;
• rebuild the altar of God through selfless intense prayer and intercession;
• lay the wood in order through precept upon precept, line upon line systematic teaching of the Truth of the Bible;
• turn people back to God and the disobedient back to the wisdom of the just;
• restore the prophetic people back to serving God; and
• thus prepare the way for the soon coming King that all flesh might see the salvation of the Lord; and the glory of His Body – the Church.
To this end, God has commissioned His serving son – Dr. Israel Adeyemi Owoade to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom of Christ in the spirit and power of Elijah, turning the hearts of men to God and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. Luke 1:17
Therefore, if you are looking for the meaning of Christianity and what it takes to be made ready for the soon coming King, here is your invitation to the King’s Banquet. Join us at the:

We can assure you, you will understand the meaning (definition) of Christianity; have healed every wound and injury you might have sustained in any conventional church and through a mere religious believer and pulpit ministers alike, and become a major functionary in God’s kingdom everywhere you are found. Much more importantly, you shall be made ready for the soon coming King. In our life time we shall see the Truth conquer all in Jesus name.

What is your concept of giving?
*General Principles Guiding Giving 4*

The written word is fixed and comes handy in establishing the truth.

(1) *It is superior to vision, dreams and revelations.*
This was why Peter enjoined the believers of his days and we unto whom the end of the world has come _to take heed unto the scripture - a more sure word of prophecy as unto a light that shines in a dark place until the day dawns._ 2 Pet.1:16-21.

(2) *It is also superior to the person or even the personality of any preacher*
To this end Paul said _believers should not think of men (neither Paul nor Apollo nor any preacher at all) above that which is written._ 1 Cor.4:6

These said, here is:

*Principle 4: Occasionally, Giving is as _Commanded_*

By this we mean sometimes God commands us to give *sacrificially*; to stretch ourselves while giving of our substance. To give far and above our ability and / or convenience.

Example of such was when God demanded Abraham to sacrifice Isaac.Gen.22:1-18

Obeying that instruction would mean Abraham would have to sacrifice Isaac his only Son, the one who he waited 25 years to get.

This kind of giving is what was regarded as *precious seed* when the Psalmist said:

_They that *sow in tears* shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing *precious seed* shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him._ Psalm 126:5-6

Giving sacrificially was the premise upon which Paul testified of the Macedonia churches when he said:

_For to their power, I bear record, yea, and *beyond their power* they were willing of themselves._ 2 Cor.8:3

Principle 6: Giving is an expression of liberality/generosity geared towards equality as the abundance/excess of the giver supplies the want of the receiver*

_Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also *out of that which ye have.* For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath and not according to that he hath not. For I mean not that *other men be eased, and ye burdened*: But by an equality, that now at this time *your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want*: that there may be *equality*: As it is written, *he that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.*_ 2Cor.8:11-15
