Topic:Do not loose your hope in Christ
"And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand." And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days:" Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler." But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and show kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:" For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon. "When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:" And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakedmeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head." And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days:" Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee." And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants." And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand:" But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them." Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him."
Most people have lost their hopes in the Lord because of what is happening. God said “my people are loosing hope in what I can do and my words will not change”. Don’t loose hope because His power still remains.
In the text we read, two people were narrating their dreams to Joseph. Joseph himself lost hope. He put his hope in the chief butler and he was dissappointed. Joseph has been trained to call on the name of God of his father before, and he kept reminding God of his father, his promises. Contextually, the chief baker when he had his dream, he ought to pray against the dream so that the dream will not come to past but he didn’t do that, when you have an evil dream pray against it.
2 Timothy 4:8-10 "Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:"For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia."
Apostle Paul was not loosing his hope when he wrote this verse. He was expecting the crown of righteousness after winning all the battles. He is trying to tell us too to strive the more. Do not dessert God for the sake of this worldly things. Note that things that can drag us out of faith are many. Don’t loose your hope. Wait, stand firm in God, be holy, be patient. In prayer, keep calling him, he will surely fulfill his promises. Our fathers faced challenges but waited on God and they received their promises.

"And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children."
"And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there."……. “Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD."
Topic: Family Altar of Thanksgiving God’s desire
There are somethings we do today that are not acceptable to God. It seems the more we pray, the more things get worst because we know what God wants but we refused to give Him and as we deny Him of desires, it renders Him impotent to act. Family Altar of Thanksgiving is God’s desire.
Three characteristics words to be discussed are:
1. Family
2. Altar
3. Thanksgiving that God’s desire
Family is A group of people United by marriage or by blood or proposal contributed a single household.
In christiandom, there’s difference between family and family of God. The family of God means people bind together in Christ and gather in the name of God to worship. So we are one family in God because we are all tied with one faith i.e John 3:16 together in Christ. Every one of us need an altar. Before Christianity was introduced to us here in Africa, they have their altar where they worship their gods. And that place is called shrine. You can not do anything anyhow or enter their anyhow without paying for it. Look at this small God’s they worship, they must not violate it’s rules because it request things from them. Where the lesson was read, the Bible made reference to Elikanah that he had a place where he worship God with his family every year. There is always a record of our movement here on earth. You have a witness which is your shadow. Heaven is recording how you worship here on earth. We cannot serve God the way you want, you cannot see Him. This man, the name of God was not in the town he was leaving, so he will go to shilo with his wife to worship. If you don’t change your character you can not receive from God. You and your family must have a family altar where you will call on God together.
In this family altar, find time to pray with your family that is where you count your blessings one by one, go back to family altar. Some people don’t know how to share the grace, Because your earth is far from worshipping.
After that you must have a personal altar. God must be able to hear your voice inside your room.
Altar is a risen area in our room separated for the purpose of worshipping God. The man went to worship God with his wives, but Paulina always grief Hannah. For several years she Does this she didn’t change. God was patient with her for years. God now started with Hannah because Paulina didn’t repent. But one day, when they were in the presence of God, God visited Hannah and that months, God answered her prayer. As she started giving birth Paulina was loosing
Why did God desires our Thanksgiving!
Because if His Mercy. Psalms 117:1-2
"O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people."For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth forever. Praise ye the LORD."

Text: Psalms 37:1 " Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity."
1. Fret (ikanra): it means to be angry, iritated, raged. You must abstain from being freting at any body's goodness or success. God is a good organizer. He can give everybody goodies at the same time but the goodness can not manifest at the same time. Fretting is a game of fool. Fretting brings about the following evils: strife, confusion, cursing, fowl languages, besides it hinders God from working as expected,it renders the angels of God impotent.
2. Envy: this means uneasiness at the sight of others success or good fortune. Don’t envy others fortune because God will surely do your own.

Topic :The Benefits derived when God put your enemy into silent
Text: Psalms 30:12 "To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee forever."
Your glory will be singing praises to the Lord. Which means some glories have been silenced Why? Because the enemy overcame them and they are now being mocked. No wonder the psalmist exalted God in Psalms 30:1
" I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me." Because God intervened when the enemy was about to overcome Him. If you can cry to him and depart from iniquity, the enemy will bow and serve you. Everyone of us come with one glory. David was created with glory but it can not be known amongst the sheep and goats he was keeping until one day when his father sent him to the field to look after his brothers. When one’s glory shines, people will compose songs for him or her like the women composed for David because of the victory he had over Goliath.

Sacrifice a must in God’s service
Genesis 22:18Genesis 22:1
"And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am." Genesis 22:2-13
"And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of."
"And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son."
Leviticus teaches us how to offer sacrifice unto God. In all areas of our lives, we need to sacrifice because he is a God we must approach through sacrifice. We can not receive any goodness without offering a sacrifice to God. It is a pity today that when we come to service we deny God of The Best sacrifice. we worship God the way we like that is why we don’t receive what we are supposed to receive. Look at it from the I’del Kabir they celebrated Last, it was coined out of the obedience of Abraham. We don’t give quality sacrifice unto God, that is why we didn’t experience his power any longer. What can begat miracle is obedience to his law, serving him the way he wants. Doing his will.
Abraham didn’t discuss what God told him with anybody, but he went with the child. As they were going, the child asked where is the lamb that they will use to sacrifice. Isaac knew that we can not serve God with emptiness. Abraham in faith, answered that God himself will provide. Isaac obeyed his father by surrending for the sacrifice. Are we obedient today?
Things we need to sacrifice
Our lives – Daniel 1:8 "But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself." Your character will determine whether your prayer will be answered. The way your prayer will be answered you don’t know..

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Philippians 2:8-9 "And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;"
You must have a weapon to fight in the world we are. Every animal has it’s own weapon of warfare. You have to ask for authority. If you are given an authority of do not touch, to live in this world will not be difficult for you. The greatest weapon that God has given us is the name of Jesus Christ. There 3 creatures: to those who live in heaven, those who live on earth and to those beneath the earth. Man is a spirit it is higher than each other. You must have a weapon. The unbelievers have different diabolical power they use to fight. Before they use any power in the world, they must speak to it, But you have been given a name to fight no matter how powerful the power and spirit is.

Text: Isaiah 37:14-20 "And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD." And Hezekiah prayed unto the LORD, saying,"O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth."Incline thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living Geart Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries, "And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. "Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only."
God is happy when somebody who is powerful is boasting at His child, it pushed God to action. Sennacherib was a great man, skillful in war. He has overcome many nations. If anyone who has the backing off the devil has not yet fought a child of God, he will see himself as a champion. But let him rise up against the one that has the backing of God, he will know that he is nobody. It is because you have not reported your enemy that is why he is still bragging. Always remember what God has done and be thankful that will instigate God to do more.

Whatever you are passing through, wake up in the night and take to God in prayer. Prayer is the only way you can silence your enemy. Don’t play a double game, a doubting person can not receive anything from God
Isaiah 37:36-38 "Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh, And it came to pass, as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; “
Three things causes battle:
1. Goodness : some battles rise up because of doing good
2. Character: your character may bring battle
3. Breaking of natural law of God . Exodus 20:1
Pray the following prayers with zeal:
