October 4 - The Anniversary of the Boys' Brigade

This day marks a special day in the Boys' Brigade. It is a day we remember the seed sown by the founder in making sure that Boys are groomed towards a true Christian manliness.

As we mark another anniversary of the Boys' Brigade, precisely the 142nd anniversary, we urge every member of the Boys' Brigade worldwide to always remember the vision of our founder - the advancement of Christ's kingdom among the Boys.

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I write as directed by the Primate of All Nigeria, the *Most Rev’d Dr Nicholas D. Okoh* on the above subject.

1. The Boys’ Brigade of our Dioceses in the Church of Nigeria should include the Flag of the Church of Nigeria when they march in the
colours during services.

2. The Brigade should not be allowed to march in the “Colours” during
services if the Church of Nigeria flag is absent.

3. The Primate enjoins our fathers in God to assist in ensuring that the Brigade of the different Dioceses act accordingly.

The Primate appreciates your usual cooperation.
