Sheikh Gumi, can I ask you something? Are you okay? Do you need medical help?
Do you think before you speak? You say attacking bandits is a mistake? What’s going on? Are you serious? Or has something taken over your judgment?
People are suffering. Families are mourning children. Farmers can't work. Villages look abandoned. Yet you publicly defend criminals who are part of your congregation? What’s wrong with you?
Every time something happens, you rush to the microphone: "Negotiate with them." "Don’t attack them." "Give them amnesty." "Bandits are not terrorists." Please stop.
What kind of amnesty have you ever suggested for the victims? What negotiations have you made with the families whose futures have been shattered by bandits? It's clear you are siding with the killers.
You speak like their spokesperson, their advisor, even their mouthpiece. I’m honestly tired of your nonsense. You’re a cleric, but your words bring no peace. This is not genuine.
You act as if bandits are a protected group. That’s infuriating.
Let me be clear: Any leader, cleric, or elder who uses "dialogue" to excuse the actions of killers is part of the problem. You won't end well, I promise.
If bandits attacked your family, if they harmed your people, you wouldn’t be calling for dialogue. You would become a military leader, shouting for action louder than sirens.
Sheikh Gumi, listen: Stop defending wrongdoings. Stop creating chaos. Stop making Nigeria seem like a playground for criminals.
For once, use your influence to speak the truth: "Bandits must be defeated. Victims must be protected. The government must take action."
If you can’t say that, at least respect your age and stay quiet. Your fathers left a legacy.
Let’s all express our anger towards this madness.
