TOPIC: RESPECT AND OBEDIENCE TO GOD'S STEWARDS

Every steward or servant of God who has been assigned by God to leave their family and relocate to a foreign land in order to honor God and fulfill their divine mandate, it is our responsibility as children of God to understand and support them.

As stated in the scriptures, which relate the story of God's promise to Abraham to bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him, we as Christians must be mindful of our behavior and actions in our relationships with the servants of God who have been appointed by God to oversee the affairs of His church.

These are the categories of individuals whom we should never curse, abuse, or criticize in life.
1. God, our creator.
2. An ordained minister of God.
3. Our biological parents.
4. Our destiny helpers.

God from the ancient time has never condole,or took it kindly on those who looked down on the above mentioned categories of humans. We should be cautioned and careful in our doings,conducts and approaching manners when dealing with God's servant and the above mentioned.

THIRD SUNDAY OF MAY

TEXT: PSALM 50:1-5
TOPIC: SACRIFICE AND VOW

God is not much interested in the weight and diversities of your gifts, offerings and sacrifices. But the contrite nature of your heart.

Zachariah and Elizabeth went to offer sacrifice unto God in the temple according to the tradition of then, which was Zachariah's turn in taking the ecclesiastical functions of sacrificing unto God in the inner temple.

And at the process, was encountered by an angel, being reminded of his prayers which was centered on God's favour of a son.

But while the angel revealed to him the mind of God in causing his wife Elizabeth to conceive and giving birth to a child, Zachariah doubted the words of the angel which led to a negative pronouncement by the angel on him which brought about his deaf nature until the fulfillment of the promise of God.

It is one thing to make a vow before God, and another thing to fulfil that which was vowed when God in his infinite mercies finally answers our prayers.

It is one thing to render a sacrifice unto God,and another thing for our sacrifice to be accepted by God.

The sincerity and contrite nature of our heart is the determinant of God's speedy replies,answer and acceptance of both our sacrifices, offerings and prayers.
