‎Message Topic: Adopting Jesus As An Anchor.
‎Text: Ps.62:5-11.
‎
‎INTRODUCTION.
‎There are many things under the sun that present themselves unto human as elements of trust. These things include wealth, skill, sport, academic achievement, human connection, and other physical attainment in diverse means. As important as these things may appear in essence, it is worthy of note that there are not to be relied upon.
‎
‎We are to understand that anything a man adopts as an anchor other than Jesus will only make him a failure when he never expected. Jesus is the only being that carries sufficient power to sustain us in times of storm and adversity. We equally experience frustration in life upon shifting our hopes and focus on anything outside Jesus.- Math.8:22-27; Isa.59:19; 31:1-3; 2:22.

‎Amidst any perceived physical attainment of any magnitude and what may bring temporary contentment and comfort, these should, however, never to be depended upon. Our Lord Jesus alone stands as the anchor and will forever be our true defence and security in times of storm and emergency situations in our lives.

‎How Do I Make Jesus My Anchor....
‎
‎(1) By accepting Jesus into our lives and making Him our personal Lord and Saviour.- Prov.1:20+31; Isa.37:36; 38:1; 2Chron.20:1-3; 2Tim.2:10; 2Chron.20:12. Having Jesus as our only anchor grants us access to His Divine help and power which we can always rely upon in all ramifications.

‎CONSIDER THIS : A man that wholly puts his trust in his accumulated wealth, ego, skill, academic achievement and human connections will only journey towards the path of frustration and complete emptiness. Adopt Jesus as your only anchor and hope and you will experience inner peace and joy in life. iPs.115:9-12; Ps.118:8-9.

‎Prayer: Judges.14:4-6.- ; The Holy Spirit that guards and guides, I rededicate my life, spirit and soul unto You. I call on You today to take over my life. Lead and guide me in my life's journey oh Lord in Jesus Name...Amen.
