A Message of Encouragement from the ECWA President on ECWA Pastors Appreciation Week (1st to 7th September, 2025)

Beloved in Christ,

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we prepare for the commencement of the ECWA International Pastors’ Week of Appreciation, I wish to speak a word of encouragement to our local church members, our dedicated elders, and our beloved pastors.

The work of the gospel entrusted to us is no small calling. Scripture reminds us that “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news” (Romans 10:15). Our pastors labor day and night—preaching, teaching, counseling, praying, and shepherding the flock of God with sacrificial love. This week of appreciation is not merely an event, but a sacred reminder to honor God’s servants who watch over our souls (Hebrews 13:17).

To our members, I encourage you to participate actively. Show love, kindness, and tangible support to your pastors. Your prayers, words of encouragement, and acts of generosity will refresh their spirits and strengthen their hands for the work ahead.

To our elders, I urge you to continue standing as pillars of unity and support. Lead by example in showing respect, cooperation, and appreciation to our pastors. Remember that when the shepherds are encouraged, the entire flock is strengthened.

To our pastors, I commend you to God’s grace. The ministry is not without trials, yet we are assured that “our labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58). May this season of appreciation remind you that you are loved, valued, and honored both in heaven and on earth. Keep pressing on faithfully, for the crown of glory awaits those who shepherd the flock willingly and eagerly (1 Peter 5:2–4).

As we begin this week, let us do so with gratitude, humility, and renewed commitment to Christ and His Church. May this celebration strengthen the bond of love within ECWA and ignite a fresh zeal for the gospel.
