OGBIA DISTRICT COMBINED WORSHIP AND CHOIR DAY HOLDS AT EMEYAL CHURCH

Emeyal, Bayelsa State — August 8, 2026

The Ogbia District of the Seventh-day Adventist Church held its Combined Worship and Choir Day on Sabbath, August 8, 2026, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Emeyal. The programme brought together members, worshippers, and choirs from across the district for a day of worship, praise, fellowship, and spiritual renewal.

The programme commenced with a well-coordinated Sabbath School session led by Juliet GoodLife, Sabbath School Superintendent, alongside Evangelist Prosper Eze-Uzuke and Blessing Michael. The day’s lesson, titled “Spiritual Gifts,” focused participants’ attention on the gifts God has entrusted to every believer and the responsibility to employ those gifts for His glory and the advancement of His work.

During the Divine Worship service, the District Leader, Pastor Emmanuel Mark Ahamefula, delivered the sermon titled “Praise in Chains.” Drawing attention to the importance of maintaining faith and praise in challenging circumstances, Pastor Ahamefula encouraged worshippers not to allow their situations to determine their attitude toward God.

The sermon emphasized that genuine worship is not dependent on favourable circumstances. Rather, believers are called to trust God and continue praising Him even during seasons of difficulty, uncertainty, and adversity.

Following the Divine Worship service, the congregation participated in a special Feast of Praise, led by Pastor Godsave Ejenavi. He invited the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit as the congregation entered into a time of musical worship and praise.

The atmosphere was transformed into one of heartfelt worship, thanksgiving, reflection, and celebration as the combined choir ministered through carefully selected songs of praise and worship. Choir members from across Ogbia District demonstrated unity, dedication, and commitment as they used their musical gifts to glorify God and minister to the congregation.

The gathering also provided an opportunity for members from different churches within the district to fellowship together, strengthen relationships, and celebrate their shared faith through music and worship.

The Ogbia District Combined Worship and Choir Day served as a powerful reminder of the importance of spiritual gifts, the transforming power of praise, and the beauty of believers serving God together in unity. The programme left participants spiritually encouraged and renewed in their commitment to worship and service.

As the programme concluded, gratitude was expressed to God for the success of the gathering and for the opportunity to unite His people in worship.

To God alone be all the glory!

FOUR (4) SOULS ADDED TO SDA CHURCH, EMEYAL

The Nigeria Mass Evangelism Campaign tagged “Christ the Answer” recorded a remarkable success at SDA Church, Emeyal, in Ogbia District. Indeed, it was a spiritually uplifting and soul-winning experience, marked by dedication, divine guidance, and visible fruits of labor.

The campaign series was led by the guest preacher, Evangelist Kelvin Eberechukwu Ehiogu, who also serves as the BAC Treasurer. Through Spirit-filled messages, heartfelt appeals, and consistent engagement with the community, lives were touched, and decisions were made for Christ.

A significant highlight of the campaign was the presence of Pastor Kingsley Chinkaa Sampson, the Evangelism Director, who joined the church during worship service. In his charge to the congregation, he emphasized the urgency of the gospel mission and encouraged steadfastness in faith and commitment to soul-winning.

During the special divine service, Evangelist Ehiogu, who led out powerfully, also took time to encourage the baptismal candidates in their new journey of faith. He emphasized the importance of spiritual endurance, love, and unity within the body of Christ. He admonished them to forbear one another in love, reminding the church that we are all unfinished projects in God’s hands, and that in His own time, God will perfect all that concerns us. His message deeply inspired both the candidates and the entire congregation.

During the service, three baptismal candidates: Goodness Godfrey, PraiseGod Godfrey, and Abe Finge were formally presented before the church. Pastor Kingsley led the congregation in a solemn moment of affirmation and spiritual preparation, urging the candidates to remain faithful in their new walk with Christ.

In addition, the church joyfully witnessed the acceptance of Mr. Akpabio Brown, who was officially voted into membership through profession of faith, further adding to the harvest of souls.

With hearts full of joy and gratitude, the entire church accompanied the candidates to the river for the baptismal ceremony. It was a moment of deep spiritual significance as Pastor Kingsley Chinkaa Sampson officiated the baptism, symbolizing the candidates’ death to sin and resurrection into a new life in Christ.

Following the baptism, the newly baptized members and the new member by profession of faith were warmly received into the church family. The atmosphere was filled with praise, thanksgiving, and celebration, as members rejoiced over the growth of the kingdom.

Indeed, this evangelistic effort has reaffirmed that Christ remains the Answer, and when His message is faithfully proclaimed, hearts are won, and lives are transformed.

To God be all the glory for this great harvest of souls!
