Today’s stakeholders engagement on electricity regulation and power sustainability, organized by the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) for Anambra, Enugu, and Ebonyi States in collaboration with the Anambra State Government, brought together industry leaders, policymakers, manufacturers, and professionals to discuss the realities affecting businesses and economic growth in Nigeria.
The discussions focused on issues surrounding estimated billing, unstable electricity supply, rising operational costs, regulatory accountability, and the direct impact of power challenges on manufacturing, investment, and real estate development.
Representing the Executive Governor of Anambra State, the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, expressed the government’s support for productive collaborations and practical outcomes that will strengthen industrial development and improve the business environment within the state.
One of the major takeaways from the meeting was the growing recognition that stable electricity is no longer just a utility concern. It now plays a major role in business sustainability, industrial productivity, property development, and investor confidence.
The engagement also highlighted the need for stronger partnerships between government, regulators, manufacturers, and private sector stakeholders in addressing the long-standing challenges within Nigeria’s power sector.
The presence of ABS and other media platforms at the engagement further reflected the growing public interest in conversations around electricity, manufacturing, investment, and economic development in Nigeria.
A very insightful and necessary conversation.
