WHILE MEN SLEPT, THE ENEMY CAME TO SOW TARE
Bible Text: Matthew 13:24–30, 25 (KJV)
"But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way."
Beloved, one of the greatest strategies of the enemy is to operate when people are spiritually asleep. Jesus taught that while men slept, the enemy secretly sowed tares among the wheat. The enemy does not always attack openly; sometimes he plants seeds of delay, confusion, sickness, disappointment, fear, division, and hardship when people become careless in prayer and their relationship with God.
Spiritual sleep is not merely closing your eyes at night. It is becoming lukewarm, neglecting prayer, ignoring God's Word, and losing spiritual alertness. That is why the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV): "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."
No matter what the enemy has secretly planted in your life, your family, your health, your marriage, your business, or your destiny, the power of God is able to uproot it. Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8 (KJV) declares: "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil."
Today, I prophesy over your life: Every evil seed planted while you were unaware shall be exposed and uprooted by the fire of the Holy Ghost. Every hidden work of darkness assigned against your destiny is destroyed in the mighty name of Jesus. You shall not harvest the enemy's tares. Instead, you will reap God's blessings, favour, peace, healing, restoration, and victory. The Lord will restore every good thing the enemy tried to corrupt, and your testimony shall bring glory to God.
Deliverance Prayer
Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I repent of every form of spiritual carelessness. By the blood of Jesus, I cancel every evil seed planted in my life knowingly or unknowingly. Every altar of darkness speaking against my destiny, catch fire now! Every chain of delay, affliction, disappointment, stagnation, and failure, be broken by the power of the Holy Ghost. I declare that my life belongs to Jesus, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I receive total deliverance, restoration, divine protection, and victory in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
Prayer Points
Father, expose and uproot every evil seed planted in my life while I was spiritually unaware, in Jesus' name.
Every power assigned to scatter the blessings of my destiny, be destroyed by the fire of the Holy Ghost.
Every spirit of spiritual slumber and prayerlessness, depart from my life now, in Jesus' name.
O Lord, restore every blessing the enemy has stolen from me and my family.
I declare that I shall flourish like the wheat in God's kingdom, and every evil plan against me shall fail, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
Prophetic Declaration:
I decree that from today, no hidden work of darkness shall prosper in your life. The Lord will keep you spiritually alert, surround you with His angels, and cause every evil plantation to be uprooted. Your testimony shall be great, and you shall walk in victory through Christ Jesus. Amen.
