7:00AM HOLY COMMUNION SUNDAY SERVICE || MONTH OF SALVATION EMPHASIS || 23RD AUGUST, 2026

Preacher: Ezz. Uche Mmaduakor
Theme: Month of Salvation Emphasis
Topic: Salvation Experience
Texts: Acts 26:13–19; Romans 10:1; Matthew 11:28

1. The Greatest Miracle is What God Makes Out of a Man

• Salvation is one of the greatest experiences a person can have.
• The greatest miracle is what God makes out of a man.
• Salvation transforms a person and makes them who God wants them to be.
• Salvation gives us a new life in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

2. Salvation Makes Us Children of God

• The essence of salvation is to make us children of God.
• Through salvation, we become part of God's family. (John 1:12)
• Salvation gives us a new identity and a new life in Christ.
• Salvation brings forgiveness of sins and gives us an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Christ. (Acts 26:18)

3. Salvation Begins with the Opening of the Eyes

• Salvation begins with the opening of our eyes.
• There must be a realization of our condition and our need for God.
• A person must understand their need to turn to God.
• Jesus calls us to come to Him. (Matthew 11:28)

4. Salvation is a Transformation from Darkness to Light

• Salvation brings us from darkness into light.
• We must turn away from the power of Satan and turn to God.
• Through salvation, we are delivered from the power of darkness and brought into God's kingdom. (Acts 26:18; Colossians 1:13)
• Salvation must be practical and should produce a real change in our lives.

5. Salvation is the Desire of God's Heart

• God's desire is for people to be saved. (Romans 10:1)
• We should also desire and pray for the salvation of others.
• To experience salvation, our eyes must be opened, we must turn from darkness to light, come to Jesus, receive forgiveness, and believe in Him by faith.

Salvation is a life-changing experience. Therefore, we must respond to God's call, come to Jesus, and allow our salvation to produce a real change in our lives.

7:00AM HOLY COMMUNION SUNDAY SERVICE || MONTH OF SALVATION EMPHASIS || 16TH AUGUST, 2026

Preacher: Pastor lkechuwu Obidi
Theme: Month of salvation emphasis
Topic: A Case for the Gospel
Text: 2 Corinthians 5:11–21, 2 Corinthians 6:1-2

1. The Gospel is Costly Because of the Blood.
• The work of atonement has its price.
• The Gospel is the Gospel of blood.
• The Gospel is expensive because of the blood that was shed.
• The work of atonement is in the sacrifice.

2. The Reason for the Sacrifice
• The sacrifice of Jesus was made for a purpose.
• Jesus died for us so that we could have life.
• The Gospel is what will save us.
• The Gospel of the Lord is good news; we should believe that Jesus died for us.

3. The Sacrifice of Jesus Gives Us Life
• The sacrifice of Jesus is that He died for us to live.
• Jesus gave Himself for us because of His love and desire to reconcile us to God.
• His death was not without purpose; it was the price paid for our salvation.

4. Do Not Receive the Grace of God in Vain (2 Corinthians 6:1–2)
• Having received the Gospel and the grace of God, we should respond to it with faith and obedience.
• The salvation we have received should produce a change in our lives.
• We should not take God's grace for granted.

5. The Value of the Soul
• The worth of your soul is greater than anything you have and everything you could ever have.
• Nothing in this world can be compared with the value of a human soul.
• This is why the sacrifice of Jesus is so important: He gave His life to save our soul

The Gospel, purchased by the costly blood of Jesus Christ who died to give us life, demands that we value our salvation and live wholly for God.

7:00AM HOLY COMMUNION SUNDAY SERVICE || THE BOYS' BRIGADE SUNDAY || MONTH OF SALVATION EMPHASIS || 9TH AUGUST, 2026

Preacher: Ven. Israel Odita
Theme: Month of Salvation Emphasis
Topic: The Power of the Gospel
Texts: Matthew 25:31–46; Romans 1:16; Acts 9

1. The Gospel Deals with Our Shame (Genesis 3:21)
• Sin brought shame into the life of man, but God provided a covering for Adam and Eve.
• In the same way, the Gospel of Jesus Christ deals with the shame brought by sin.
• Jesus took our place and paid the price for our sins so that we can be restored to God.
• The Gospel does not only expose our condition; it provides a way for our redemption.

2. The Power of God unto Salvation (John 1:12; James 2:17)
• Receiving Christ gives us the power to become children of God.
• Salvation brings a change in our identity and in the way we live.
• Faith should be accompanied by works because faith without works is dead.
• What we believe should be reflected in our actions and how we treat others.
• The Holy Spirit helps us live as children of God and enables us to cry, “Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6).

3. The Power of Salvation is for All (Romans 1:16)
• The Gospel is not meant for a particular group of people; it is for everyone who believes.
• Salvation is available to people regardless of their background, status, or circumstances.
• Having received the Gospel, we have a responsibility to share it with others.
• We should not keep the message of salvation to ourselves but make it known to those around us.

4. The Power of Provision for All Things (Romans 8:32; Matthew 25:31–46)
• If God gave His Son for us, we can trust Him to provide for our needs according to His will.
• God is concerned not only about our spiritual needs but also about the practical needs of people.
• Matthew 25 teaches us to care for the hungry, thirsty, sick, naked, strangers, and those in need.
• We should not only preach the Gospel with our words but also demonstrate God's love through our actions.
• The Gospel should make us people who care, give, serve, and help others.

● One major sign that the Gospel has truly touched your life is that you cannot keep it to yourself, but you will desire to share what God has done with others. Psalm 107:2.
