TOPIC: WALKING IN DOMINION OVER SICKNESS AND DISEASE – (PT. 3B)

*🔑 KEY TEACHINGS*
Dominion means to be in control, to rule over a thing, and to exercise authority. God has given us authority over everything, including our bodies (Gen. 1:26–28).
The end-time church is ordained by God to walk in dominion in every area of life (Isa. 33:24; Ps. 110:1–3; Ps. 105:37). Being filled with the Holy Ghost and living under the dominion of sickness is not God’s plan for the believer.
We are in a battle, and two things are important:
1. *Know your enemy.*
2. *Know your weapon.*
Our weapons are spiritual and mighty through God (2 Cor. 10:3–4; Eph. 6:12). One of the weapons God has given us is the *Holy Anointing Oil*.
Never allow the devil or anyone to make you despise your spiritual weapons. The testimonies of others give us an understanding of what our weapons can accomplish (1 Sam. 17:35–40, 42–46).
Every weapon that passes through God carries a message. Therefore, we must be definite and clear in our understanding and application of God's Word.
*⚔️ TWO ENEMIES OF OUR DOMINION OVER SICKNESS AND DISEASE*
*1️⃣ THE SPIRIT OF SEXUAL PERVERSION / IMMORALITY*
The spirit of whoredom produces fornication and adultery (Hos. 5:3; 1 Cor. 10:8; 1 Cor. 6:15–16).
Sexual immorality may appear pleasurable, but it is ultimately destructive.
*2️⃣ THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS*
When a person constantly gives themselves to mourning, discouragement, and heaviness, they open the door to the spirit of heaviness (Isa. 61:3).
Everyone experiences ups and downs, but our response to what happens to us makes the difference (Prov. 12:25; Prov. 17:22; Prov. 18:14).
*🫗 HOW DOES THE ANOINTING EMPOWER US FOR DOMINION OVER SICKNESS AND DISEASE?*
The mystery of the anointing oil was unveiled for our effectiveness and spiritual benefit (Ex. 30:31; Mark 6:13; James 5:13–14).
*1. THE ANOINTING OIL IS A SPIRITUAL MEDIUM*
The anointing oil is a spiritual medium through which the Holy Spirit manifests His presence and power in our lives. As the oil comes upon us, the ministry of the Spirit of God is made manifest (1 Sam. 16:13; Eph. 4:4).
*🔥 WHAT DOES THE ANOINTING OIL DO?*
*1️⃣ It carries the healing power of God.*
(Mark 6:7–13; James 5:13)
*2️⃣ It represents the Spirit of God that destroys yokes.*
(Isa. 10:27)
The enemy often afflicts people through yokes, and every yoke comes with a burden. The anointing breaks these yokes and brings liberty.
*3️⃣ It represents the Spirit of the Lord that sets captives free.*
(Acts 10:38; John 14:16, 26)
The Holy Spirit is our Comforter. A comforter is one who brings comfort and strength (Eccl. 4:1). When a person lacks comfort, they can remain under oppression.
*4️⃣ It exempts us from the evils of the day.*
(Ps. 105:15; Isa. 59:19)
The Holy Ghost in us is God's mark upon us. No devil has what it takes to overcome the believer who stands in the power of God.
*5️⃣ THE MYSTERY OF THE FIRE AND THE FAN*
The fan amplifies the effect of the fire (Matt. 3:11–12). The operation of the Spirit of God intensifies the believer's spiritual capacity and effectiveness.
*🌿 COVENANT DAY OF LONG LIFE*
The anointing oil is connected with the covenant of long life.
Death and life are appointments that must be kept, but as children of God, we have the heritage of good old age (Heb. 9:27; Eccl. 3:2; Gen. 15:15; Gen. 25:7–8; Gal. 3:13–14).
If you are born again, you are a seed of Abraham.
Long life is a function of *strength*, particularly spiritual strength (Prov. 24:5). Strength is connected to knowledge because what you know determines your strength.
Scriptures such as Deut. 34:7, 2 Sam. 5:4, John 10:17–18 and Ps. 91:16 establish the believer's confidence in God's promise of longevity.
*🔑 KEYS TO ENJOYING LONG LIFE*
*1️⃣ REVELATION*
Revelation is a mystery behind rejuvenation (Ps. 103:5). The Word of God sustains our lives.
Life is a gift from God, but living that life in the fullness of God's purpose is a choice of faith.
*2️⃣ COMMITMENT TO FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD*
(Ps. 84:7)
Fellowship with God is our spiritual service and renewal centre. It is where we are continually refreshed and strengthened.
*3️⃣ LOVE FOR GOD*
When you love God, you position yourself in His love and presence. Our love for God should be demonstrated continually (John 8:29).
*4️⃣ JOY AND REJOICING*
Joy is one of the keys to enjoying long life. Joy is medicine; therefore, give yourself a continuous dosage of joy and rejoicing.
