REPORT ON DIOCESAN YOUTH EXECUTIVE VISITATION
Church Visited: Abraham and Esther Anglican Church of the Advent, Ondo City
Date: 16th August, 2026.
The Ondo Diocesan Anglican Youth Executive continued its visitation exercise today at Abraham and Esther Anglican Church of the Advent, Ondo City. It was indeed a spirit-filled and impactful service experience.
The Executive was warmly received and accorded great hospitality. Special recognition was given by the Vicar of the Church, The Rev. Canon K.O. Adewole while officiating during the service. The Assisting Priest, The Rev. T.O. Akinwamide, was also present.
After the service, the Diocesan Youth Executive had a brief but fruitful interaction with the youth of the church. The Diocesan Youth President, Bro. Damilola David Lawal, expressed appreciation to The Rev. Canon Adewole for his selfless service, humility, and unwavering commitment before, during, and after the Olive Conference 2026. His contributions were highly commended by the Executive.
Thereafter, the President addressed the youth of the Church. He highlighted the vision and mission of the Ondo Diocesan Anglican Youth leadership and encouraged active participation in Diocesan programs and meetings. While commending them for their spiritual growth, he urged them not to grow in isolation but to align with the larger body of the Diocesan Youth so that their impact can be felt across the Ondo Diocese, Anglican Communion.
He further emphasized that youthfulness is the best season to serve God very well, and charged them to remain devoted and committed to God’s work with all their strength and energy.
The President also used the opportunity to inform them of some upcoming youth programs, including the Annual Provincial Youth Conference and the Annual Sports Festival. He encouraged full participation and adequate representation from the Church.
In his closing remarks, the President thanked the youth for their patience and conveyed the warm greetings of the Diocesan Youth Chaplain, The Rev. Sam Promise, to them.
