SERIES: KINGDOM LIVING β BRINGING CHRIST INTO EVERYDAY LIFE. PT2
Sub Topic: BE FAITHFUL IN THE LITTLE
Luke 16:10
Matthew 25:21
Zechariah 4:10
God prepares us for greater things by testing our faithfulness in the little things.
β’FAITHFULNESS IS THE PATHWAY TO PROMOTION.
Promotion in God's Kingdom is not accidental.
It is the fruit of proven faithfulness.
Throughout Scripture, God often entrusted greater responsibilities only after faithfulness had been demonstrated.
David was faithful with sheep before he led a nation.
Joseph was faithful as a servant and as a prisoner before he governed Egypt.
The disciples were faithful in following Jesus before they were sent to change the world.
NB:
God is interested not only in your gift but also in your character.
Matthew 25:21
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant..."
Notice, Jesus did not first say,
"Well done, gifted servant."
He said,
"Well done, faithful servant."
Faithfulness attracts greater responsibility.
Today's responsibilities are preparing you for tomorrow's opportunities.
Don't despise your current assignment.
It may be God's training ground for your next season.
Ask yourself:
Can God trust me with what I already have?
Am I faithful when no one is applauding?
Do I honour God in the small opportunities He has already given me?
β’NEVER DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS
Zechariah 4:10...For who hath despised the day of small things?"
We live in a generation that celebrates big numbers.
But God often begins with something small.
A mustard seed.
Five loaves and two fish.
Twelve ordinary disciples.
A baby born in Bethlehem.
Never underestimate what God can do through small beginnings offered to Him
Many believers become discouraged because they judge their lives only by what they can currently see.
God is often doing His deepest work where human eyes can not yet perceive it.
Maybe your service seems unnoticed.
Maybe your business is still small.
Maybe your ministry appears insignificant.
Remain faithful.
God does not overlook faithfulness.
He rewards it in His time.
Summary:
Never measure your value by the size of your assignment.
Measure it by your faithfulness to Christ.
The little things matter.
Every act of obedience matters.
Every quiet prayer matters.
Every seed sown in love matters.
God sees what others may overlook.
And in His appointed time,
faithfulness will produce fruit.
Declare boldly:
I am faithful in every assignment God has given me.
I will not despise small beginnings.
I serve the Lord with excellence and integrity.
God is preparing me for greater things.
My season of growth is fruitful.
The work of my hands is blessed.
I walk in God's favour and fulfil His purpose for my life.
In Jesus' mighty name, Amen!
