SIX YEARS OF SERVICE. SIX YEARS OF IMPACT. SIX YEARS OF MEMORIES. 🕊️❤️
Today, we celebrated the last Mass of our beloved Chaplain, Rev. Fr. John Umeojiakor at St. Augustine’s Chaplaincy, Federal Polytechnic Oko, after six beautiful years of priestly service among us.
It was a beautiful Mass, but one filled with emotions. There were smiles, gratitude, hugs, prayers… and, of course, tears. 😭❤️
For six years, you have been a father, shepherd, teacher, counsellor and friend to the people of this chaplaincy. Through your ministry, you have celebrated countless Masses, offered prayers, given counsel, encouraged the young, supported the struggling and touched many lives in ways that may never fully be known.
Father, thank you.
Thank you for your service.
Thank you for your sacrifices.
Thank you for your patience.
Thank you for your guidance.
Thank you for the love you have shown to us.
Although some of us did not have the privilege of knowing you throughout the entire six years, the time we have spent with you has been enough to experience your fatherly care and encouragement.
Today is not the end. It is simply the beginning of another chapter in your priestly journey. As you move to your new assignment, we pray that God will continue to lead you, strengthen you and bless the work of your hands.
May He reward you for every sacrifice you have made here. May the Holy Spirit renew your strength each day, and may Our Blessed Mother continue to accompany and protect you wherever you go.
May the seeds you planted here continue to grow, and may the lives you touched continue to bear good fruit.
Thank you for six years of service, Father. ❤️
You may be leaving St. Augustine’s Chaplaincy, but the memories, lessons, prayers and love remain with us.
Go forth with our prayers and blessings.
Go forth with the assurance that you will always be remembered and welcomed here.
This is not goodbye forever.
It is simply: until we meet again. 🥹❤️🕊️
May God bless you abundantly in your new assignment, Father.
Thank you for being our Chaplain.
Thank you for being our Father.
