CHRISTIANS AND POLITICS

"If Christians don't get involved in politics, politics will erase their right to be Christians."

Whether or not these exact words were spoken by the person in the image, the message raises an important question that every believer should consider.

For many years, some Christians have been discouraged from participating in politics because they were told that politics is a dirty game. But let me say this clearly: politics itself is not dirty, people with corrupt motives make politics dirty.

If people of integrity and godly character stay away from leadership, they leave the system in the hands of those who may not uphold justice and righteousness. Instead of abandoning politics, Christians who are called and equipped should prayerfully engage, serve with integrity, and be a positive influence in society.

The Bible says, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan." (Proverbs 29:2)

As believers, we are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13–16). We should pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1–2), vote wisely, and encourage men and women of godly character to serve our communities and our nation.

The Church should not be silent. We must stand for truth, justice, righteousness, and the values of God's Kingdom in every sphere of society.
