SOME OF YOU THINK THAT TRAINING GIRLS BELOW THE AGE OF 15YRS FOOTBALL SKILLS IS VERY EASY
Very different from boys.
Here are some of the things you need to know:
Before I even continue, as a coach, you need to be patient with girls. Building a stronger girls' team with young players takes time (atleast 2 to 3 years).
Anyday you see such like girls of this age (below 15yrs) playing beautiful game with skillful ideas, know that behind them,is a very serious coach somewhere who have invested his resources much more than you can imagine.
For a girl of the age between 9-12yrs to know how to play football, you as a coach make sure you are always available in the training.Girls can't grow within a club with a lazy coach who doesn't turn up in the sessions.
Secondly, make sure you get as many balls as possible such that during training, every girl has one ball.Ball handling is very key.Let every player do something with the ball during the sessions.
If not 1 ball to 1 girl ratio, ensure you get them balls which march a half of their total number.
Thirdly, have different approaches to your day-to-day training, girls of this age love to be trained in different styles even if the skill remains the same.Have a session plan and stick to it.
Don't make your trainings to be of too much laughter and talks amongst the players. This age like jokes and fun moments so much,if you give room for that, they won't focus.
Instead, arrange your drills in such away that it can minimise talking but enjoyable.
If there is need to have a fun game, have a specific time for it.Let them know at what time will you create time for fun games.
Understand your players well, mix them.Don't place extroverts in one point during training.
The speed at which they will learn football depends on your seriousness.
Be friendly but cautious.
These are girls, and if you are a male coach, don't give room for being nice and making jokes with your players every time.
