Topic: You Cannot Give Your Heart to God and Keep Your Body to Yourself

Beloved, when we speak of surrender to God, many think only of the heart—our feelings, our emotions, our prayers. But God does not ask for half; He asks for all.

Romans 12:1 says, “I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Notice it does not say only your heart, but your bodies as well.

The heart without the body is incomplete. You cannot say, “Lord, I love You,” and then use your body in sin. You cannot kneel in prayer, but rise to walk in disobedience. True love for God is expressed in how we live daily—our words, our actions, our purity, our service.

1 Corinthians 6:19–20 reminds us that we are not our own, we are bought with a price. That price is the blood of Jesus. If He gave all, how can we give Him less than all?

Therefore, giving your heart to God means surrendering your whole life—your thoughts, your decisions, and yes, even your body—as a vessel of honor. This is true worship.

So, brethren, let us not be partial Christians. Let us be living sacrifices—hearts burning for Him, and bodies yielded to His glory.

They raised the flag,
green and white against the sky,
they said we were free,
yet the chains only changed their form.

We have called it independence,
but the land still groans with labor,
the rich feasting on gold,
the poor scraping dust for bread.
This is not freedom—
this is the shadow of slavery
painted with brighter colors.

But I hear a sound,
a rising beyond the drums of October.
It is the cry of a new generation,
the footsteps of sons and daughters
who refuse to bow to corruption’s altar.

Nigeria, your wilderness is not forever.
Your deserts shall blossom,
your chains shall snap like twigs before fire,
your streets shall carry justice
as rivers carry the rain.

True freedom is coming,
not from flags or speeches,
but from the Spirit of the Lord—
“for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

October 1st will not always be a mask.
One day it will be a testimony,
when leaders serve and not enslave,
when the harvest feeds the planter,
when youths dream and rise,
and the nation bows only to God.

Nigeria, lift up your head.
The illusion will fade,
the dawn will break,
and you shall walk clothed in freedom indeed.
