ABIA STATE TAKING THE CENTER STAGE THROUGH "YOUTH SUPPORTING YOUTH INITIATIVE" (YSYI) PROGRAMME.
In society driven by high rising skills, Technology innovation, entrepreneurship, empowerment and development, youths are mainly the figurative part that propel every sector of the economy with collaboration from the government to strike a balance between the commercial and professional entities.
In line with the recent development index in Abia state which has become a case study for easy identification of a system that focuses on a purposeful youth engagement, human capital and infrastructural development, capacity training and creating opportunities for potential skills to thrive hence the administration of his Excellency Dr Alex C Otti through the ministry of youth and sports ministry packaged " The Abia Youth Connect, Leadership & innovation summit (AYCLIS) 2026, with the theme youth supporting youths initiative.(YSYI)
This programme is designed to bring young people together, connect them with opportunities, build their leadership skills, encourage new ideas and innovation, support entrepreneurship, and provide practical empowerment to youths across all 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State.
Unlike conventional conferences where participants simply attend lectures, AYCLIS combines inspiration with practical outcomes. It is structured to create opportunities for networking, mentorship, enterprise development, skills acquisition, policy dialogue, and direct empowerment.
This theme reflects our general belief that Abia possesses enormous human capital. Our responsibility is to identify these talents, develop them, connect them to opportunities and create an enabling environment where they can thrive whereas building a generation of visionary, productive and socially responsible young people who will contribute meaningfully to a sustainable development of Abia state.
