GOD FULFILLS HIS WORD IN HIS OWN TIME
People of God, I would like to share this testimony with you, and I pray it strengthens your faith in God's faithfulness.
The major reason I am sharing this testimony is to remind us that when God speaks, He will surely do exactly what He has said. God is not a man that He should lie, neither is He the son of man that He should repent. Whatever He has promised, you can trust Him to bring it to pass.
Back in 2017, I was working with a company in a role that included cleaning the office and the restrooms. One day, while cleaning one of the toilets, I was singing a song that I had known and sung for some time.
As I sang, I heard some people singing along, but it felt as though they were mocking the song. I chose not to be distracted and continued singing. Then suddenly, I heard a clear voice say:
"I will use this song for signs and wonders during Congress."
I was surprised and laughed. In my heart, I thought, "God, You are funny."
Immediately, I began giving excuses. I wondered who I was to sing on such a highly esteemed altar. I asked myself who even knew me. I felt unqualified and insignificant. Yet the word remained in my spirit.
Months later, as Congress rehearsals began, I heard the same instruction again:
"The song I told you I would use for signs and wonders—write it down and submit it."
I was confused. Submit it to whom? How would that even happen? Nevertheless, I obeyed. I wrote down the song and submitted it to one of our choir directors.
To my surprise, he said, "Thank God you brought it now. We are already rounding up the collection of songs."
That same evening during rehearsal, our leader asked for volunteers to lead a particular song. Several people came forward and sang. Later, when another volunteer was requested, I raised my hand from the back. By God's grace, I was selected to lead the song.
A few hours later, I was called to teach the song the Lord had instructed me to submit.
Then Congress began.
On Monday, we sang the song assigned by the leaders, and I ministered as scheduled.
Tuesday came, but we did not sing the song God had spoken about.
Wednesday came and passed.
Thursday came and passed.
Friday came and passed.
Saturday came and passed.
The song was still not sung.
At that point, I concluded in my heart that perhaps God had already fulfilled His promise by allowing me to minister on Monday. I decided not to complain or worry about it anymore.
Then, late Saturday night, I received a message asking me to make sure I was present for the Thanksgiving Service on Sunday.
The challenge was that I did not even have the proper uniform for the service. I reached out to one of my mentors in the Mass Choir, and she kindly gave me a suit jacket to wear. I managed it as best as I could and prepared for the service.
Then Sunday morning came—the final day of Congress.
To my amazement, the very song God had spoken about years earlier was selected, and I was given the opportunity to lead it.
As I stood there ministering:
"Eru Ko Ba Mi, Tori Mo Ni Jesu Ni Baba..."
I remembered that moment in the office restroom when God first spoke those words to me.
What seemed impossible had become reality.
God had fulfilled His promise exactly as He said He would.
Not on Monday.
Not on Tuesday.
Not on Wednesday.
Not on Thursday.
Not on Friday.
Not on Saturday.
But at His appointed time.
I was amazed. I had almost given up on seeing that word come to pass. Yet God proved once again that His promises never fail.
Many testimonies followed after that ministration, but the greatest testimony for me was seeing God's word fulfilled exactly as He had spoken it.
That experience taught me a lesson I will never forget: when God speaks, His word does not fail. Even when circumstances suggest otherwise, He remains faithful. Our responsibility is to obey His instructions, stay aligned with His will, and trust His timing.
If God has spoken concerning your life, do not lose hope. Hold on to His word. What He has promised, He is able to perform.
May this testimony encourage you to trust God completely and believe that every promise He has made concerning you will surely come to pass.
To God alone be all the glory.
Hallelujah!
