BROKEN ENVIRONMENT ≠ BROKEN DESTINY
Did you know that Samuel lived in a supposed broken (imperfect) environment but never turned broken?
Samuel lived in an imperfect environment, but he was still being formed.
So what should parents do?
The answer is NOT to isolate children completely from the world.
The answer is to prepare them to live wisely in it.
We are not raising children who cannot function in the world.
We are raising children who can enter the world without allowing the brokenness of the world to define them.
That's why Jesus prayed concerning His disciples:
“I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.”
— John 17:15
Don't merely remove the child from the world, rather build the child so they can navigate the world.
What intentional thing would you do differently today to raise a whole child?
