🔥 THE GATES ARE NEVER SHUT 🔥

In the book of Book of Revelation, we are given a powerful picture of the New Jerusalem:

“Its gates shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.”
— Revelation 21:25

Why are the gates never shut?

Because in this covenant reality:

• There is no enemy threat
• There is no darkness
• There is no siege
• There is no old covenant hostility

Under the old system, gates closed at night for protection.
Darkness meant vulnerability.
Night meant restriction.

But in the New Jerusalem —

There is no night.
There is no fear.
There is no separation.

Open gates represent:

✔ Continuous access
✔ Ongoing communion
✔ Unrestricted movement
✔ Kingdom flow
✔ Spiritual and economic exchange

You are not living behind closed gates.
You are not waiting for access.
You are not shut out of presence or promise.

The gates are open continually.

This is a present Kingdom reality — not merely a future hope.

Walk boldly.
Pray confidently.
Receive freely.

Philemon 1:6- The word ‘communication’ is coined from ‘koinonia’ which means fellowship or sharing your faith. The word ‘acknowledge’ is coined from ‘epignosis’ which means accurate, exact, precise or revealed knowledge. Everything that makes God, God is on the inside of the believer. However you must acknowledge it.
The believer does not have a power problem, all power is in the believer. The believer does not have a love problem, the love of God is shared abroad in his heart. The believer does not have a supply problem, all things are made available to him by the Spirit of God. The only problem the believer might have is a knowledge problem. The knowledge of the Scriptures unlocks to your disposal the full power of God that you didn’t know resides in you. (Ephesians 1:18, Colossians 1:9).
Being filled with knowledge is not a function of prayer, it is a function of study:

In Philippians 1:9, the word is ‘judgment’ means ‘discernment’. When you are discerning, you can approve things that are excellent. The day the believer left darkness, it was a total dismissal and migration into the territory of light. No demon in the territory of darkness has control over the believer anymore.

In 2 Corinthians 10:3, Luke 11:22 and John 18:3, the word weapon (hoplon) is used.
What are the believers’ weapons? (2 Corinthians 6:7).
- The word of Truth.
- The power of God (Philippians 3:10, Romans 6:10-11)
- The armor of righteousness. When the believer is condemned, he is disamored.
You don’t have a demon problem. You are full of God. Even when you do wrong, satan has no right to condemn you. The only one who has the right to condemn you is the one who is sinless. But He (God) says, ‘Go and sin no more’. He doesn’t condemn you. Righteousness is right standing with God. Righteousness is the constitution of your nature. Righteousness is in your DNA. It is too late for God to disown you when you get born again.

‎CLARIFYING THE VINE AND THE BRANCHES: UNDERSTANDING JOHN 15:2.

‎John 15:2:
‎Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

‎This text is one of the texts some preachers wrongly interpret to say that if you are saved and you are not fruitful in your conduct, you shall be taken away. To them taken away is a loss of salvation. They also interpret the purging as God making the believer go through difficulties and temptations in order for him or her to be fruitful.

‎One of the things we need to know is that Jesus was using a parable to teach a spiritual truth. In a parable, we have facts, fiction, and the lesson. A doctrine can only be built on the lesson. Immediately we try to build doctrine on the fact, or fiction, we shall be in error.

‎Jesus interpreted the vine and the vine dresser or husbandman as Himself and the Father respectively. We cannot give any other interpretation apart from what Jesus said. He went further to talk about the branches: those that bear fruit and those that do not bear fruit. He also gave different treatment the Father does for fruitfulness.

‎This is a very common farming practice where vine branches buried in the soil cannot bear fruit unless they are lifted up and supported. Jesus said that the Father lifts such branches up for fruitfulness.

‎The word “taketh away” is the Greek word “airo” which means to lift up, to take up, or to carry. In the context of vine culture, branches that droop down or become buried in the soil cannot receive sunlight or air properly, and thus, fail to bear fruit. The vine-dresser's practice is to lift these unproductive branches up and support them, often by tying them to a trellis or stake, enabling them to grow correctly and bear fruit.

Partakers Of The Divine Nature

As new creation citizens, we have a remarkable gift - the gift of partaking in the divine nature. This profound truth is rooted in the scriptures and has inspiring attributes.

In his second Epistle, the Apostle Peter highlights the believer's position as partakers of the divine nature, emphasizing the exceeding great and precious promises that have been fulfilled and given to us.

2 Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

The phrase "divine nature" refers to the nature of God, which is holy, righteous, and pure. As believers, we are called to partake of this nature, to become like God, and to reflect His character in our lives. This is not a physical transformation but a spiritual one, where we are transformed by the power of God and become partakers of His divine nature.

1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin: for his seed remaineth in him, and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

The word "seed" in this verse is translated from the Greek word "sperma," which means "seed" or "nature." This refers to the divine nature that is implanted in us when we are born of God, enabling us to live a life that is pleasing to Him.

As believers, we have been given the power to escape the defiling influences of the world, which can lead us astray from God's path. Through Christ, we are delivered from the dominating power of sin and the world's corrupting values, enabling us to live a life that is pleasing to God.

As partakers of the divine nature, we have been given a new identity and a new nature that reflects God's character, by the person of the Holy Spirit Who dwells in every child of God. This means that our natural tendency is to do things the way Jesus would do them, to reflect His love, compassion, and righteousness in our lives.

YOUR WORDS EXPRESS WORRY OR FAITH

*You sure cannot stop a bird from flying over your head, but you sure can stop it from building a nest in your hair. In the same way, you cannot stop life’s pressures and worries from coming at you but you can definitely stop it from having an influence over your life and affecting you.*

How then do we stop worry and anxieties?

Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

“...Take no thought saying...” –

This is very instructive.

Our words give room to worry, fear and anxiety.

Say not “How do I get this job? How do I sustain my family? How will I not backslide but serve God? How do I become a doctor or an engineer, How do I get this, do this or that...?

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Jesus says “You have what you say”. Hence, if you worry, you have your worries but doubt, fear and worry will die unborn until they are spoken in words.

So when the believer prays in worry it’s a waste of time.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

You must first deal with worry before you pray. You can’t worry and pray at the same time. You will first refuse to take the thought. However, what we often wrongly do is that we are praying and praying, we’re giving thanks and grumbling, trusting God and fretting.

God will not deal with worry for you. You will have to deal with worry by yourself because you can.

BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING

Life is full of pressures on its own with the desire to have and acquire things which we all have rights to. However, we mustn’t become so encumbered about those things that the care of those things overcome and overwhelm our thoughts leading to apprehension, tension, and agitations in anxiety which may in turn hinder us from walking in God’s will and plan for our lives.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Vs 25 Therefore, I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

The phrase “Take no thought for your life” actually means to not be anxious about your life.

The phrase “hate the one and love the other” refers to preference. Jesus taught against uncontrolled desires for money. In the text above, he warned that this unbridled desire for money leads to worries. You cannot serve God and Money!

Paul reiterates this in epistles;

1st Timothy 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
Vs 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
Vs 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
Vs 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Vs 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

So when we are worried, sometimes it’s because of the love for things, money, fame, relationships etc. The system of this world thrives in the uncontrolled passion for things which will eventually lead us out of God’s will for o

THE UNRIGHTEOUS

1 CORINTHIANS 6:9-10
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (KJV)

We taught that we are not saved by good conduct but good conduct is expected of the saved person, not as a condition to remain saved but as fruit of salvation. Your good conduct shows that you are growing and are willing to work with God in saving others through the work of ministry. Good conduct will help you to serve God better for a glorious reward when Christ comes. There shall be believers who shall suffer loss when Christ comes.

1 Corinthians 3:14-15,
“If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire”.

It goes on to say in verse 17,

“If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are”.

“If any man” here talks of the works of the man, whatever we do as believers which does not edify the body of Christ which is the temple of God shall be destroyed which means we shall suffer loss for doing things which did not build the body Christ. A sinful lifestyle does not edify the body of Christ. It defiles and shall bring the loss of reward.

In an attempt to preach good conduct, some people use our opening text to teach that if you fornicate, commit adultery or steal or do any of the sins mentioned, you will not inherit the kingdom of God or if you are saved, you will lose your salvation. This is when the text is taken out of context for it to say what the author was not saying.

CASTING ALL YOUR CARES

*Main text - 1stPeter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.*

*Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.*

Today, in our devotion, we will seek to address some pertinent questions such as:
'Can a Christian want things? Is it unchristian/unholy to desire the good things of life? Is it possible to be prosperous yet godly?

What is our father's disposition towards wealth or our well- being in the earth?

To address these issues, we must firstly realize that nothing in the earth of its own self evil or created by the devil. The scriptures affirm that all things were created by God and were created good, and to be received with thanksgiving

Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Psalms 24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Furthermore, a vital component that makes us human or man, is our will, that ability to make choices based on our individual needs or desires and for us as believers, inasmuch as we actively exist in this earth, the scriptures equally acknowledges that we will have the same needs, wants or desires as the unsaved or unbelieving man. It even goes further to let us know that our heavenly Father knows that we have need of these things which to some could be a regular and satisfying provision of three square meals daily and to some others an exquisite vacation at a private beach or holiday resort

Matthew 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

So, yes the Christian man can want the good things of this life, it is not unchristian or unholy, he can be prosperous yet godly and he must never assume that poverty or wealth is an indication of piety but must at all times acknowledge that his heavenly Father cares for him and is concerned about

*WALKING IN THE GLORY*

‎The Glory of God is the Spirit of God in the believer and despite the infirmity of their mortal bodies, they still walk in the Glory. The believer has to walk about a full cycle to conduct his/her self. That walk in God's Glory refers to him conducting himself in the benefits of Christ's resurrection. That is IN THE SPIRIT. In the Spirit was used two ways in the epistles depending on the context of usage: For Nature and Activity.

‎For nature:

‎_Romans 8:9 (KJV)_
‎*But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.*

‎_Galatians 5:25 (KJV)_
‎*If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.*

‎What it means is that, the believer lives or exist in the Spirit referring to nature, that's when a man is born again, his nature is now the Spirit.

‎For Activity:

‎_Galatians 5:16 (KJV)_
‎*This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.*

‎_1Corinthians 14:2 (KJV)_
‎*For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.*

‎We are born of the Spirit of God, so we walk, live and exist in the Spirit, therefore we do the things of the Spirit. The Spirit is our life and our nature, our very life. The work of the Spirit through the believer is via preaching and teaching. So, we walk in and express the Glory of God through preaching and teaching or making disciples. That’s the primary activity in the Glory of God. We manifest the Glory of God by preaching the gospel of Christ to the unsaved, winning and discipling (teaching) them.

*SOAKING” AND “PLEADING” THE BLOOD*

‎*MATTHEW 26:28*
‎*For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (KJV)*

‎Prayer is very important as a believer. However, prayers without the knowledge of God’s word will cause you to pray the wrong prayers or empty prayers. Therefore, we must teach God’s word as much as we emphasize prayer. One of the wrong prayers many ignorant believers pray is on the blood of Jesus. Many people take the blood of Jesus as a universal liquid that can be used to do everything including spraying on witches. At prayer meetings, people are asked to plead the blood of Jesus over themselves, their spouses, their homes and just anything that is dear to them. They believe by doing so, they become protected from all sorts of attacks. The blood has already been shed, applied, or used by our high priest Jesus Christ once and for all. Therefore, we have no duty or responsibility to redo what has been done by Jesus. It is wrong to imagine the blood is some liquid available yet to be used. The blood is symbolic of the life of Jesus. To be in Christ is to be in the blood. Blood is a person not liquid.

‎One of the common prayers people pray is to soak or protect themselves in the blood of Jesus. They often refer to the application of the blood of a lamb at the door post of the Israelites in Egypt for protection from death or the Passover. Jesus is our Passover lamb sacrificed for us to be freed from the judgment of sin which is death. 1 Corinthians 5:7, “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us”. It is because of the blood of Jesus we are set free from death and judgment of sin. The blood of Jesus was shed solely for the remission of our sins not for people to soak themselves in for protection daily. Jesus said at the last Passover with his disciples that the wine represents his blood that was shed for the forgivenes
