Many desire victory over their enemies, yet they fail to call upon the Lord.
CALL ON THE LORD
Indeed, many people are going through difficult and challenging times. Many are facing battles, afflictions, and the attacks of the enemy. Yet they keep saying, "God sees me and knows my struggles."
Yes, He sees you. Yes, He knows your struggles. But the Scripture says:
"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Many acknowledge that God knows their situation, yet they fail to call upon Him. Failing to call on the Lord is often an act of surrendering yourself to your confrontation instead of inviting divine intervention into it.
When Elisha arrived at the River Jordan without Elijah, he did not focus on his limitation. He called upon God, saying:
"Where is the Lord God of Elijah?"
And the same God who answered Elijah answered Elisha.
Sadly, many continue to give the enemy access to prey upon them because they refuse to knock, seek, and ask. Yet the Lord Himself said:
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."
How then do you expect to break free if you refuse to seek the One who has the power to deliver?
One of the reasons the Lord is grieved over the condition of many is that they neglect the knowledge He has already provided. The Scripture says:
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."
The Bible also declares:
"I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies."
Many desire victory over their enemies, yet they fail to call upon the Lord.
If you fail to call the emergency number of heaven in times of trouble, you may find yourself overwhelmed by the very trouble from which God desires to deliver you.
Today, receive the grace to see the Lord as your sufficiency and your source of help. Call upon Him in faith. Seek His face with sincerity.
For He has promised:
"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."
May the Lord reveal divine mysteries, grant you wisdom, and save you from every snare of the fowler.
Do not remain silent in your trouble. Call upon the Lord, and He will answer.
